¡Welcome! Our 23-foot vessel offers a safe and comfortable fishing experience for a maximum of 5 people.
You can choose the species you want to target or leave the decision in the captain's hands. Depending on the season and sea conditions, we will do our best to find the best fishing opportunity.
Fishing Techniques
I specialize in jigging, live bait, dead bait, and trolling with lures, all gear is ready on the boat. We will target species such as roosterfish, cubera snapper, mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, skipjack tuna, sailfish, and other sport fish species in the area.
Safety and Equipment
The vessel is equipped with life jackets, fire extinguisher, navigation lights, communication radio, GPS, and a fish finder with sonar. It also features comfortable seating, rods, reels, lures, and fishing gear.
We include snorkel gear for those who wish to enjoy a swim and explore the beautiful waters of Papagayo. Children are welcome and you may also bring your pet.
What is included?
We include bait, fishing gear, water, beverages, beer, and fresh seasonal fruits.
Lunch is included on full-day 8-hour excursions. If you wish to bring any additional food or beverages of your preference, you are welcome to bring them aboard.
Alcoholic beverages are permitted in moderation. For safety reasons, we do not recommend bringing glass bottles.
Payments and Gratuities
We accept cash in US dollars, Costa Rican colones, euros, and Canadian dollars, according to the exchange rate. We also accept cards with a 13% surcharge.
A voluntary tip of 15–20% of the total trip cost will be greatly appreciated by the captain and crew.

Alberto and Daniel took great care of us from the moment we climbed onboard! Snacks and drinks were waiting for us, along with lunch for our half day trip. They took care to answer all the questions we had and took time to point out and teach us about the landscapes and the sealife we saw. We fished for tuna and rooster, and did catch yellowfin and mackerel! We enjoyed a lovely ceviche prepared by Daniel right on the boat with our fresh catch! I would suggest bringing cash as there was a snag with using the credit card reader but with Alberto's quick thinking we eventually worked the payment issue out. 10/10 would recommend!

I would highly recommend anyone to spend a day fishing with Alberto and his crew!! Multiple times he went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. He could have taken us back early but kept fishing to ensure we caught some beautiful large fish and he did not disappoint! I highly recommend him and his crews companionship and fishing experience.

Captain Alberto picked us up bright and early at Playa Del Coco for our trip. The fishing was slow, but him and his first mate did their best to put us on fish. We did end up catching a few smaller Mahi Mahi which was nice. Snacks and cold drinks were provided as well. Make sure to bring sunscreen and a hat because it gets hot out there. The coat has a canopy over the front seating area which was a blessing. Would definitely book again.
Thank you very much for your review, Dustin. It was a pleasure having you on board. Although the fishing was a bit slow that day, we were glad to put some Mahi Mahi in the boat. At this time of year, many of the Mahi Mahi in our area are still juveniles and growing, so while they provide action, they do not always offer the big fights that larger fish do. We also had tuna in the area, but unfortunately they were not very active that day. That's fishing—some days everything comes together, and other days the fish make us work a little harder. We truly appreciate your patience and positive attitude. Hopefully next time we'll have even better conditions and the opportunity to get you on some larger fish and more exciting battles. El pasado 13 de abril de 2026 tuve la oportunidad de realizar un tour de pesca junto a mis compañeros de trabajo con el Capitán Alberto. Esta fue ya mi tercera vez a bordo, y cada ocasión confirma su gran experiencia y conocimiento del Golfo de Papagayo. El Capitán sabe exactamente cuáles son los puntos de pesca más productivos y navega con total seguridad gracias a su vasta trayectoria en el mar. Además, cuenta con todo el equipo necesario para que la experiencia sea completa y disfrutable. Sin duda, siempre es un placer salir a pescar con él.

My husband and I fish all over the world. Our trip was with Alberto was first class! Captain and “Izzy”, his first mate made this birthday extra special for me! We not only caught fish but they made frech ceviche right off of the hook! Alberto not only made the trip safe and comfortable, he also keeps it entertaining.

I hope we can go fishing together again and catch the giant trevally (GT) you were hoping for. The GT is a very picky fish when it comes to biting. It doesn’t like water that’s too clear, too cold, or too warm. The bait was good, but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. Maybe next time.
