Book your next trip with Fish the 49th Alaskan Fishing and find out what keeps anglers coming back to Homer for more. With Captain Stephen at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.

Halibut, Lingcod, Cod, Chinook Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Rockfish, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the time of year.

On these trips, it’s common to bottom fish.

Children are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

You'll be fishing aboard a 30' Sportfishing Boat with room for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group.  Additionally, a federal Halibut Permit is required, and that must be purchased onboard directly from your captain prior to departure. The cost for this permit is $20.00 per person, per day. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species, like King Salmon, might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but hard liquor is prohibited by law on board as well as glass bottles.

Now, come aboard with Fish the 49th Alaskan Fishing Charters and get hooked!
