You will fish aboard a 23' Epic powered by a 175 HP Suzuki engine. This craft comes equipped with all the gear and technology you need for a successful day on the water. On board you will find GPS, fishfinder, and a well-stocked live bait well. A fighting chair will help you to reel in the hardest fighting fish. There is room on board for four passengers and children are welcome.
Your guide Capt. Joseph is an experienced angler and the host of the show Father And Son Outdoors TV, featured on MY TV Charleston and WCIV ABC Channel 4. He's ready to share his insights with anglers of all skill levels, whether on camera or on the water. He can help you target a wide variety of species, including Redfish, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Blacktip Sharks, and more.
Depending on the species, you might target your catch using any method from spinning and jigging to bottom fishing. Capt. Joseph provides fishing gear by Shimano and B'n'M. You can also target some species by fly fishing if you choose to bring your own fly rod. In winter, you may even be able to bow fish for Sheepshead, Black Drum, and Rays (be sure to bring your own bow).

We had a perfect day out on the water. Captain J communicated with us, gave us great directions for how to find him. He was ready and waiting with live bait and all the equipment necessary to catch all the fish we wanted. He had us on fish within minutes. Plenty of black drum, speckled trout & red fish. When the fishing was over, he ended the morning with a nice trip around Charleston Harbor and a drive by of Fort Sumter. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

Joe was a great guide for a fishing charter captain. Between my dad, brother and myself we caught 30 fish, kept 11 for cut bait and eating. We caught trout, pin fish, red drum, and bluefish. If you’re new or you are a fisherman, this was a good charter to go on as he is willing to help you catch fish for the first time or as for myself to catch and cook. My dad came along and never caught a fish in his life and walked away with the biggest catch of the day. If Joe tells you to be there at 6 am go, it’s definitely worth waking up early…you catch more this way.
Captain Joe was great. Great communication before our trip. He called the morning off to check on wind conditions to make sure we were still comfortable going. When we got to the boat? Captain Joe had bait already caught. When we got to his spot, we had fish on hooks within minutes while we saw other chatter boats still looking for bait. Caught about 30-40 fish in total and were able to keep nine for cooking. Would definitely recommend Captain Joe and will book with him again.
We had a great day fishing! We hoped to catch red fish and the trip did not disappoint. I've tried catching Redfish with other charters and people in 5 states and finally nailed one with Captain Joe Dennis! My daughter caught one 18 pounds followed by another at about 12 pounds. We also caught some of the largest Speckled Trout that any of us had caught before! He was also quick to help us re-bait and get back out there in the water increasing our fighting odds! He directed us to the fish market to get our catch cleaned, which lead us next door where Water's Edge Seafood Restaurant cooked our catch for an awesome lunch! His call on the weather was spot on and it was just a stellar day. We highly recommend Captain Joe Dennis and this charter service for fantastic inshore fishing! All the best folks!
Captain Joe is an absolute pro. I took my two sons Striper fishing for the first time. He communicated directions several days in advance and made sure we had his contact info. When we arrived everything was ready to go. His boat and tackle were in great condition and he took us right to a great spot. We immediately started catching large Striped Bass. We caught fish the entire time but when things started slowing down he took us to a new spot where we started landing fish again. Joe was great with instruction, baiting and different fishing techniques. It is obvious he has been doing this a long time. He’s easy going, enjoys what he does and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend Captain Joe. Gregg Johnson
