Catch Moore Charters is your ticket to the stunning waters of St. Petersburg. Your guide for the day is Captain Cody, which allows you to benefit from their local experience.
Around here it's common to catch Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Hogfish, Mangrove Snapper, Gag Grouper, Tarpon, Blacktip Shark, Red Grouper, Sheepshead, Red Porgy, Yellowtail Snapper, and more with any luck.
You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Cody also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your excursion begins aboard a 23' Bay boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with a fighting chair, everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Capt. Cody has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Group of 3 (13 yr old girl and parents). We all caught fish and enjoyed our 3 hours with captain Cody. He was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about fishing and the St. Petersburg area. Took us to island for shelling halfway through too, which was a fun break for the girls. He cleaned our catch and recommended using it to make fish tacos, which we did…and yums had all around. Would happily go on another outing with Catch Moore Charters next time we are in town.

From the moment we got on the water, it was obvious he knows these waters inside and out. Capt. Cody put us on fish and worked hard to make sure we all had our shot at some quality fish. Capt. Cody demonstrated professionalism, patience, and genuine passion for fishing. Capt. Cody took the time to explain techniques, answer questions, and make the trip enjoyable for us all. The boat and equipment were clean, well-maintained, and the tower was sweet.

A full day with Cody is a great day of fishing, he is knowledgeable, skilled, fun to be around, and safe. Cody can target any species you are looking to go for with great confidence, and he has the perfect vessel to get the job done with the tower and all the right accessories. Highly recommend cody if you want to laugh, bring your family, or go on a serious boys trip, here’s your guy.
