The Dutchess Sportfishing
If you plan on fishing in Dania Beach, look no further than The Dutchess. Captain Jacob will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from their sportfishing experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Swordfish, Sailfish, Mutton Snapper, Black Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Amberjack, Atlantic Sharpnose Shark, and whatever else is biting.
For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Jacob can also have you kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
You'll find yourself aboard a 31' Center console with space for 5 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Capt. Jacob will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with The Dutchess and get hooked!
