East Pass Inshore Charters is a locally owned and operated business, offering private fishing charters out of Destin, FL. Capt. Jonathan Goodhart is fort Walton beach native has fished the local waters for over 25 years and always wants to make your fishing experience as fun and memorable as possible. Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced angler, you'll have a day to remember with EPICharters. Capt. Jonathan is also very good with kids and always tries his best for every kid to get a chance at catching the fish of their dreams when given the opportunity.
Each trip consists of fun action-packed fishing on a Cape Horn fishing boat that is a 23' center console, powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine and accommodating up to 6 guests. It features life jackets, GPS, a fishfinder, a live bait tank, an ice-box for your catch, a cooler to keep drinks and snacks cold, along with a trolling motor which allows you to fish more difficult spots around surrounding bridges and structure.
Capt. Jonathan is very familiar with the local waters always puts 100% effort in trying to make your day on the water a great one. They typically are fishing in the bayous and bay flats along with gulf trips when the weather is nice. The bay areas consist of fish like Redfish, Spanish mackerel, Bluefish, Speckled Trout, and an occasional Flounder. While fishing in the gulf when the weather permits you can target Vermillion and Red Snapper, Kingfish, Triggerfish, Grouper, Amberjack, and sometimes even a Shark!
The EPICharters crew provides you with everything you need… rods, reels, and tackle, as well as live bait when fishing techniques require it. Along with everything to fish they also include fishing licenses for everyone on the charter so your only worry is what to eat and drink while spending your day on the water. capt Jonathan will crew also clean and fillet your catch once back at the dock and have it ready to cook!

He really wanted to go deep sea fishing so we booked a 3hr trip with Capt Jonathan. The gulf was too rough to go out deep sea fishing but Captain Jonathan offered to give us our money back or said we could still go fishing in the bay; who knows when we would get a chance to go salt water fishing again so we opted to still go fishing. Captain Jonathan was friendly, knowledgeable and everyone caught fish! He cleaned and filleted the fish and recommended a great restaurant that will cook the fish for us. We enjoyed our afternoon with Captain Jonathan and would highly recommend booking a charter trip with him!

Four of us went and one of us was always on a fish. we caught red snapper, mangrove snapper, venitian snapper, sand perch, trigger fish and some other fish I didn’t pay much attention to. It was to hard take pictures, video and reel in a fish all at the same time. I would HIGHLY recommend Jonathan to anyone visiting the Destin area. He was incredibly helpful and had us on fish the entire three hours.

Quite a variety of fish were caught and the captain kept the hooks baited with live pilchers. catching those were very fun as well. captain had very good taste in country music for the run out and back in. No fish on the 5 to 10lb class but the volume of fish caught kept us very busy. Wife was very happy!

3 Hour Trip – Summer on June 29, 2026 • 4 adultsfirst time deep sea fishing, we dont know much about fishing and the captain, Jonathan, was very patient and explained everything to us many times. There was alot of trigger fish but we cant keep those. we did move locations so we could catch more fish. All in all it was a great experience and i highly recommend going fishing with Jonathan.
