We spent Spring Break 2026 in Destin for my son’s senior year. He really wanted to go deep sea fishing so we booked a 3hr trip with Capt Jonathan. The gulf was too rough to go out deep sea fishing but Captain Jonathan offered to give us our money back or said we could still go fishing in the bay; who knows when we would get a chance to go salt water fishing again so we opted to still go fishing. Captain Jonathan was friendly, knowledgeable and everyone caught fish! He cleaned and filleted the fish and recommended a great restaurant that will cook the fish for us. We enjoyed our afternoon with Captain Jonathan and would highly recommend booking a charter trip with him!

We went out for the three hour afternoon trip and were on fish the entire time. Four of us went and one of us was always on a fish. we caught red snapper, mangrove snapper, venitian snapper, sand perch, trigger fish and some other fish I didn’t pay much attention to. It was to hard take pictures, video and reel in a fish all at the same time. I would HIGHLY recommend Jonathan to anyone visiting the Destin area. He was incredibly helpful and had us on fish the entire three hours.
Our original trip was scheduled for Monday and Captain Jonathan called me early that morning to give us the option of fishing through inclement weather or moving our trip to Wednesday. We took his suggestion and mived it till Wednesday and wound up putting 25 fish in the boat! Good trip for me and my family!
capt Jonathan was great. my son has been trying to catch a fish for months. we booked this trip so he’d finally catch something. i explained to Jonathan i didnt care so much what we caught, but that our 6 year old would catch something. well he disnt dissapoint no sooner did my son catch fish number 1 the he caught #2 then 3 then more. we had a blast ans im looking forward to another trip in June. highly reccomend
The fish weren’t biting that day but we tried a bunch of spots and my kids and nephew caught a few decent ones and they had a blast for their first time charter fishing so I was pleased and the captain was a nice guy and was on the spot baiting their hook and casting for them which was cool. I was there just to watch them have fun! I would use the guy again for sure.
