East Pass Inshore Charters is a locally owned and operated business, offering private fishing charters out of Destin, FL. Capt. Jonathan Goodhart is fort Walton beach native has fished the local waters for over 25 years and always wants to make your fishing experience as fun and memorable as possible. Whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced angler, you’ll have a day to remember with EPICharters. Capt. Jonathan is also very good with kids and always tries his best for every kid to get a chance at catching the fish of their dreams when given the opportunity.
Each trip consists of fun action-packed fishing on a Cape Horn fishing boat that is a 23’ center console, powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine and accommodating up to 6 guests. It features life jackets, GPS, a fishfinder, a live bait tank, an ice-box for your catch, a cooler to keep drinks and snacks cold, along with a trolling motor which allows you to fish more difficult spots around surrounding bridges and structure.
Capt. Jonathan is very familiar with the local waters always puts 100% effort in trying to make your day on the water a great one. They typically are fishing in the bayous and bay flats along with gulf trips when the weather is nice. The bay areas consist of fish like Redfish, Spanish mackerel, Bluefish, Speckled Trout, and an occasional Flounder. While fishing in the gulf when the weather permits you can target Vermillion and Red Snapper, Kingfish, Triggerfish, Grouper, Amberjack, and sometimes even a Shark!
The EPICharters crew provides you with everything you need… rods, reels, and tackle, as well as live bait when fishing techniques require it. Along with everything to fish they also include fishing licenses for everyone on the charter so your only worry is what to eat and drink while spending your day on the water. capt Jonathan will crew also clean and fillet your catch once back at the dock and have it ready to cook!

We had an awesome day on the water with Captain Jonathan! From the moment we left the dock, he worked hard to keep us on the fish and he delivered big time. The action was steady all day, and you could tell he really knew the area and how to read the water. What really stood out, though, was how great he was with my nine-year-old. Patient, encouraging, and always making sure he was involved and having fun. It made the trip even more memorable for all of us. Captain Jonathan was professional, friendly, and made sure everyone had a great time, whether we were seasoned anglers or just out for fun. We’d definitely book with him again and highly recommend his charter to anyone looking for a top-notch fishing experience!

Jonathan is Fantastic
Absolutely had a blast with my 2 boys today. We caught over 60 fish today. Jonathan seemed to know everything about fishing and was a huge help to 3 guys that like to fish but never do deep sea fishing. He got us on fish the entire time and kept teaching us as we went. Great guy to fish with and great at what he does. It’s been over 12 hours and my boys haven’t stopped talking about fishing this morning. Plan on going back to Jonathan next year when we come back.

Great trip
We truly enjoyed our fishing trip with CPT Jonathan. He treated my family and I great and put us on the fish immediately. When they stopped biting, he moved us, and the fish kept coming in. We kept catching a lot of fish. Some we couldn’t keep, due to being out of season (dang trigger fish) but we ended with a good haul. I would recommend this fishing charter and we will definitely use him again when we return to Destin.

good day on the water
we had my son, his 9 year old son and my daughter-in-law. We went out in the gulf about three miles and caught trigger fish, mingo snapper, amberjack , 1 red snapper and 1 red grouper. we had a great time!

Capt Johnathan was in contact the day before on exact location to meet. He was waiting when we arrived 10 minutes early. Headed out at 6:00 AM to first spot and started catching. Moved to 4 different locations thru noon and caught at every location. Was a real good experience and would highly recommend capt Johnathon.
