Alvor Fishing Donzela offers first rate fishing trips from the historic town of Alvor, near Portimão in the Algarve region of Portugal. With a variety of fishing trips available ranging from short family fishing trips to full-length big game excursions, they have packages for anglers of all shapes and sizes.

“Donzela” is a very comfortable 32 ft Rodman 900 boat that is powered by twin Volvo engines that allow it to cruise at over 20 knots, giving you plenty of time to fish. The boat features a full range of navigational electronics and safety gear, and it also has a kitchen and a small bedroom for your relaxation on the way to the fishing grounds. Donzela has plenty of room to relax both inside and out, and it is also fully furnished with sportfishing gear, including outriggers, downriggers, light and heavy tackle, and a fighting chair for the very best in big game fishing.

Whether you want your Portuguese fishing experience to involve trolling the deep seas for Marlins, Tuna, and Dorado (Mahi Mahi) or fishing the reefs and wrecks for Snappers, Dentex, and Bream, Alvor Fishing Donzela will supply you with everything you need for a great day on the water. With water, beer, and iced tea included in the price, you will also stay refreshed throughout your trip.

Fishing licenses can be obtained for you by the crew - they cost 5 euros and will require a form of ID.

The sea was too rough to go out far, so we were asked if we would prefer ‘river fishing’. As it was our last day we agreed. It was more ‘fishing at the mouth of the harbour’ with people fishing off the rocks 20 meters from us.
I would hope the actual sea fishing would be better. If you are told it’s too rough, then I wouldn’t bother going at all, and wait until the sea calms down. Everything else was adequate.
