Make the most of your time in Solomons and go fishing with Mikey’s Guide Service. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Michael can tell you all about the local fishery.

Depending on the season, you might hook into Striped Bass, Bluefish (Tailor), and plenty more. For these species, you're likely to bottom fish using light tackle.

Young ones are welcome, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!

You'll be casting lines from a 26' Judge center console with room for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don't forget to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
