First Strike Charters is a Bahamian owned and operated business offering first-class fishing trips with an experienced crew. They will take you out on the clear blue waters of the Bahamas aboard this luxury boat and give their all to help you have a fun time while catching some of the world's most desirable fish species. They love to share their knowledge and excitement of their home country waters.
The boat is a 43 foot Bertram saltwater fishing boat, which was originally built in 1988 and restored in 2014. It is powered by two 550 HP Detroit diesel engines that make it a relatively fast sound vessel that will get you to your fishing spot fairly quickly. The boat can easily accommodate up to 10 guests who will all have enough space and comfort to fish and relax, depending on their preference. It contains a GPS, a fishfinder, a fighting chair, spearfishing and snorkeling equipment, outriggers, an icebox and a flybridge. The boat also has a toilet, a bed, and a kitchen with a refrigerator.
First Strike Charters can take you on nearshore and offshore fishing trips where you can enjoy catching species such as Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, Goliath Grouper, Wahoo, Red Snapper and Blue Marlin. The experienced crew will guide and educate you on the best technique for catching each species. They will also provide you with the necessary equipment such as rods, reels, tackle, lures and live baits.
You will have a first mate onboard to assist you with fishing activities. The crew will also happily clean and fillet your catch and can recommend a restaurant that will prepare your catch for a reduced price.

Thank you very much
The boat is very outdated and it does not look anything like the photos. The AC does not work. The exhaust fumes are very strong and made us sick and difficult to enjoy reeling in our catch. The crew was accommodating and friendly. The boat is quite large and we did enjoy sitting in front to enjoy the views. We caught some mahi mahi and black fin tuna even though a lot of fishing charters reported unsuccessful trips. Giving a low review for the boat only.

sorry for the fumes sometimes normal maintence is delayed due to busy season the racor filters have since been replaced as for photos they are in fact the same boat no intentional slight of hand
This was a fishing trip with my extended family (12 adults and 4 kids) and we had a wonderful experience. We were fortunate to have the right combination of good luck and the experience of Capt Eddie and the mate. We've been on other deep sea fishing trips in Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii and Costa Rica, and this one was the best fishing of all the trips. I would definitely book this boat and crew again! We caught 8 tuna, 5 mahi mahi & 3 wahoo. A couple times, we had 2 on at once and one time we had 3 on at once. In the afternoon we went to a beautiful white-sand island beach and snorkeled. I wouldn't expect to get that many fish every day - if you get 3 or 4 fish on a trip like this, you're doing good. Thoughts regarding lunch: You can stop at a restaurant or have First Strike provide food. We brought food with us and ate on the boat - I was glad we did because this option was less expensive and it gave us extra time for fishing and snorkeling.

Thank you for your review...we enjoyed the company next time in Nassau you might consider the new Pirate Adventure excursion..a 140' pirate ship

We enjoyed our trip. The tuna weren't biting, but that happens sometimes. We did catch quite a few snapper and and then for dinner at a dockside restaurant. Booking was very smooth. The crew was great. Amazing boat too. I would definitely book again.

Capt Derk and Moose thank you.
From start to finish, first strike has been an absolute easy and professional outfitter. Highly recommend, will use them again next time we come back

Capt Pedro says thank you, enjoyed having you and the boys onboard
