Play N Hooky Sportfishing 

We had an outstanding experience aboard Play N Hooky! Captain Teoni and deckhand Nick were both fantastic from start to finish. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time on the water. The fishing was excellent, and thanks to their expertise we landed some beautiful mahi-mahi. Captain Teoni put us on the fish, and Nick was always there to help, making the entire trip enjoyable and stress-free. An absolutely incredible fishing trip and easily one of the highlights of our time here. Huge spotlight to Captain Teoni and First Mate Nick, they were truly outstanding. From the moment we got on the boat, they made us feel comfortable, confident, and excited for the day ahead. Their professionalism, experience, and passion for fishing really showed throughout the trip. They were patient, encouraging, and always attentive, making sure we had the best possible chance to succeed while also enjoying every moment on the water. Thanks to their expertise, we caught four mahi mahi, and each catch was an unforgettable experience. The energy on the boat was amazing, and you can tell they genuinely care about giving their guests a meaningful and memorable trip, not just a quick charter. captain Teonie and first mate Nick were great. The captain spotted a mahi mahi in open water, put on live bait and the mahi mahi zoomed past the boat and attacked the bait. great catch for the 1st of 4. We would certainly fish with him again. boat holds upto 6 guests. That would be crowded but they said they do it all the time. Irregardless it was perfect with just my wife, the crew of 2 and myself. It’s a fishing boat, not set up for lounging on fhe deck but we still managed to get alot of sun and catch some fish. Captain Teone did a great job in rough seas.

What a trip! Captain Teoni has the gift - he found us Mahi, yellowfin tuna, marlin, and even a Hawaiian Shortbill spearfish! And Mate Nick was incredible helping us get them all in the boat and keeping us entertained the whole way with his great personality! Literally cannot recommend this crew more if you want to get out there for some great sportfishing!

It was so thrilling to reel in our catch!! Captain Teoni and Rick were amazing. Rick was right there with us, coaching us along the way as we reeled in our catch! Exhilarating!!!

Was very impressed with Teoni and the deck hand Nick. The water was super rough while we were on the island but thankfully Teoni still took us out. He put us on fish multiple times and we had 3 bites. We were able to land a 24 lbs skip jack tuna with Nicks help. Would absolutely book with them again.

We set out promptly at 6am, with the captain and crew already aboard when we arrived 30 minutes early. We departed from the docks right at 6 a.m., heading into the ocean, where we witnessed a breathtaking sunrise. The captain was courteous and positioned the boat for ideal photo opportunities. Once we reached his fishing spots, it didn't take long before we started catching fish, including two Marlin over 6 feet long and a 5-foot Mahi-Mahi.

It started as an ordinary fishing trip, but it ended up being an incredible one. Captain Teoni and his first mate, Toby, kept pushing the entire time, constantly changing strategies and never giving up. Thanks to that, we landed a 50-pound tuna and a huge marlin. It turned into one of the best experiences of my life. Huge thanks to Captain Teoni and Toby for an unforgettable day on the water.

Everyone was very friendly. They walked us through what to expect and what to do if we had a fish on. going over the process before it happens helps ensure that you actually land the fish when they bite! our family had a great time while only catching 1 Mahi. you can't control whether or not the fish bite but you can control the attitude of the captain and crew and they were great!
