Play N Hooky looks forward to taking you on a Hawaiian Deep Sea Fishing Adventure. The charter is operated by Captain Teoni Black who also has decades of deep sea fishing experience in Hawaii.
You will fish aboard our 41-foot Hatteras Play N Hooky that is powered by two 380 HP Cummins engines. The boat is safe and powerful and contains all electronics and equipment needed for a successful trip. Onboard Play N Hooky has a large cockpit for fighting fish, a comfortable air-conditioned salon with seating, a kitchen, and a private restroom with toilet.
Your charter includes all the necessary fishing gear: Rods, reels, line, lures, tackle, equipment, bait, etc. Fishing will take place in the offshore waters of Oahu where we target Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Spearfish, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, and Big Eye Tuna.
You are welcome to bring any food and drinks you would like to have for your trip. There is a cooler, ice, and a refrigerator on board for your convenience. If you would like fish to eat, you are welcome to keep up to 50 pounds of your catch. The crew will fillet and bag this fish for you after returning to the dock. Fish over 100 pounds will not be cut into as these fish will be sold.
Please note gratuity is not included in your charter price, 20% is customary if you enjoy your fishing experience.

We had an outstanding experience aboard Play N Hooky! Captain Teoni and deckhand Nick were both fantastic from start to finish. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time on the water. The fishing was excellent, and thanks to their expertise we landed some beautiful mahi-mahi. Captain Teoni put us on the fish, and Nick was always there to help, making the entire trip enjoyable and stress-free. If you're looking for a top-notch fishing charter, I highly recommend Play N Hooky. Great crew, great boat, and great memories. We'll definitely be booking another trip the next time we're back!

An absolutely incredible fishing trip and easily one of the highlights of our time here. Huge spotlight to Captain Teoni and First Mate Nick, they were truly outstanding. From the moment we got on the boat, they made us feel comfortable, confident, and excited for the day ahead. Their professionalism, experience, and passion for fishing really showed throughout the trip. They were patient, encouraging, and always attentive, making sure we had the best possible chance to succeed while also enjoying every moment on the water. Thanks to their expertise, we caught four mahi mahi, and each catch was an unforgettable experience. The energy on the boat was amazing, and you can tell they genuinely care about giving their guests a meaningful and memorable trip, not just a quick charter. What a trip! Captain Teoni has the gift - he found us Mahi, yellowfin tuna, marlin, and even a Hawaiian Shortbill spearfish! And Mate Nick was incredible helping us get them all in the boat and keeping us entertained the whole way with his great personality! Literally cannot recommend this crew more if you want to get out there for some great sportfishing!

My husband and I went out to celebrate his birthday (his dream has always been to catch a Marlin) I told Captain Teoni and Nic the mission and they MADE IT HAPPEN! We had a great day on the water with great people and caught lots of fish!! 100/10 recommend!

Unfortunately we didnt catch anything, but not for a lack of trying. We were their first 10 hour trip, which was actually 11 hours by the time we got back. Both Captain and cew worked hard to get on the fish, but we couldnt get hits. Boat was nice also, comfortable.
