Depending on the season, you might hook into Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Shortbill Spearfish, Bigeye Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and anything else that bites. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Ohana Deep Sea Fishing is a child-friendly charter service, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your vessel for the day is a 48' Viking sportfisher with room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Some essentials to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We had the best day, even though we only caught one fish that wasn’t a keeper and one got away. We made the best of it and enjoyed the beauty of Waikīkī from the boat. The captain and crew were great. We hadn’t done this type of fishing before and they showed us what to do and were very encouraging. We were a mixed family group 20’s and 50’s in age. Everyone was glad we went out on this charter. I’d recommend this fishing charter without hesitation.

We had an incredible deep sea fishing trip in Hawaii, truly one of the highlights of our time there. From the moment we stepped on the boat, the crew and captain made the experience both welcoming and professional. They were clearly experts at what they do, but also kept things fun, engaging, and relaxed the entire time. The fishing itself was fantastic, with plenty of action and excitement throughout the trip. The crew was attentive and hands-on, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great shot at landing something memorable. What really stood out was their energy and enthusiasm, it made the whole experience feel special and elevated it beyond just another charter. Overall, it was an unforgettable day on the water filled with great laughs, beautiful views, and some amazing catches. I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Hawaii and would do it again in a heartbeat. BIG THANK YOU to Joe the Captain, and our fishing expert Kahi! You both made this trip something we'll never forget!!

I dont have any negatives to say about Kahi and Mike, top notch guys and I would take them fishing if they make it to Biloxi. A 700 lbs Marlin would have been nice…but we caught some very nice Mahi and a Barracuda. Boat was great for my wife nice inside AC and clean bathroom. As someone that has fished my whole life on the Gulf of America including deckhanding, these guys are legit and would recommend them to anybody. Will also book again when we come back to Hawaii. If I had one suggestion, fix the upholstery on the captians chairs🤙

Captain Amber and Mate Jeremy were fantastic! This was our first deep sea fishing adventure. They both made us feel extremely welcomed and educated us on so much throughout the trip. We were able to catch not one but two Pacific Sailfish. This review truly does not do them justice on how great they were.

Mike runs a good boat. Super easy to work with, convenient location in Waikiki, you’re lures down as soon as you leave the harbor. Highly recommend for an easygoing group! Mile was even keeping an eye on the weather and reached out to adjust our booking to get ahead of an incoming storm. I’m glad we did because we wouldn’t have gotten to fish otherwise. While we didn’t catch anything, we had a great trip. That’s just how it goes sometimes!
