Take Down Guide Service
Take Down Guide Service specializes in fishing the northwest rivers and coast of Oregon. Captain Bryan is an experienced and knowledgeable guide, who knows all the hottest spots to find Sturgeon, Steelhead, and Walleye in Oregon’s finest rivers.
Step aboard a 25’ Alumaweld Super V Pro boat, which comes powered by twin 150 HP Yamaha engines. The vessel has a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots and can comfortably accommodate up to six guests. Its navigational electronics include Garmin GPS, VHF radio, and a fish finder. There is plenty of room and comfortable seats for everyone. For your maximum comfort on the water, there is a toilet on board.
Take Down Guide Service offers a fun and safe experience for all ages and expertise. The Captain will share his knowledge and teach you the methods that work best for the local waters, such as trolling, jigging, and light and heavy tackle.
Depending on the season, you will be fishing for Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Sturgeon, and Walleye. The catch-and-release Sturgeon season starts in February and goes through March, when the trophy Walleye season begins and ends in October. June and July are the best time to land the “June Hogs”, which are Summer Chinook Salmon, Astoria Sturgeon, and Summer Steelhead.
A trip with Take Down Guide Service comes inclusive with all the necessary fishing equipment to make your catch possible. You will be provided with rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures. The fish will be cleaned and filleted after the trip for a ride home. You only need to bring your own food, refreshments, a camera, warm clothes and rain gear, sunglasses, and the licenses.
