Captain Chuck of Chill’s Light Tackle Guide Service invites you to come out for a fun day of fishing on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries. Captain Chuck has been fishing these waters since the age of 6. Yes, 47 years!

The primary fish of choice in Maryland is the Striped Bass, commonly referred to as Rockfish. This fish is aggressive and powerful, making for a fun battle on the water! Other fish such as White Perch, Yellow Perch, Catfish, and newly popular Snakehead fish can be targeted as well.

Captain Chuck is an expert light tackle fisherman as evidenced by his numerous 5-star reviews. You are bound to learn something new during your trip.

He uses several different techniques when necessary, utilizing a “hybrid” approach. Casting lures, using cut bait, or live lining are all in his repertoire of techniques used to catch fish.

Captain Chuck can take out 6 guests on his incredible fishing boat. The boat is a world-class 28’ Sportsman powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha outboard engines. This boat will cruise comfortably at 40 mph and can reach a top speed of 61 mph!

It is equipped with twin Garmin 12” fishfinders, a radar, and an autopilot. It is also equipped with a fully functional electric toilet and freshwater sink.
One of the captain's favorite features is the Minn Kota Terrova Autopilot 112 lbs thrust trolling motor. Equipped with GPS “Spotlock”, there is no need for an anchor in even the roughest conditions.
All rods, tackle, and bait are provided on the trip. You just bring snacks and drinks!

My family and I had to pull a vacation together after our original trip was canceled due to an injury, I chose Baltimore, Maryland, the aquarium, baseball, shopping, ECT. A huge must was to find a fishing charter. After experiencing hiccups and mishaps through out our entire trip, we checked our reservations Monday night for Tuesday, excitedly all went to bed, my teenagers woke up the best they ever had" it's fishing day ". My spouse again the easiest 4 am wake up. The excitement and anticipation were mounting by the second, I can't find the best words to express my gratitude , we will be forever grateful to you. This literally saved our vacation, and brought sooooo much genuine happiness to everyone of us, that was soooo needed, it brings me to tears and the joy that was had that day. You and your charter will always be our Maryland Miracle!

Perfect day!!!

7 HOUR TRIP on July 4, 2024 • 6 adults

Booked the 7 hour charter for July 4th. Captain Chuck was very knowledgeable and had some great fishing spots marked. The trip started with a fun and fast speed run to the fishing spot in his 600 hp boat which was a blast. The fishing was slow to start so we went to a different spot to catch some spot and white perch for bait fish. This spot was loaded. Catching fish on every cast was a ton of fun. Then we moved to a different spot with the live bait. Pretty slow again until we switched to jerk baits and immediately caught 2 striped bass, both keepers 21” and 22”. What a great fight to get them in the boat. Lastly we ended near a lighthouse and finally caught one on an eel and missed one on a white perch. Overall, we spent well over 7 hours on the water and Chuck was phenomenal with getting everyone up to speed and we had a great time. I look forward to grabbing a few more of my buddies and going out on the boat with Chuck again.
