If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids, as well as first responders and military veterans, are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You can't go wrong with snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip, bottled water is available on board at no charge!
You'll be fishing aboard a 24' Alumaweld aluminum fishing boat that can carry up to 6 anglers plus crew. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a portable flushable toilet on board for your convenience.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included for certain types of fishing trips. Such as live minnows for drifting bait for Stripers.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunscreen and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is not allowed.
*Meeting time is flexible as well based on tides and we can run trips starting later in the day for an afternoon into evening trip as well.

Full Day — Delta Stripers Shared PP on January 29, 2026I went fishing today with captain Doug and he put us on the fish within 20 minutes of leaving the dock. We had about 40 fish to the boat and I kept a limit of hefty zebras. The boat is spacious and well equipped. I’d 100% go again and recommend him to anyone who wants to have a good time.

Full Day – Trout (Shared) on October 1, 2024I took my 2 and 4 year old kids, my wife, a coworker and his 4 and 8 year old daughters—and we fished Collins Lake for the 2nd annual GOAF (GetOutAndFish) kids derby. By absolute luck, the winners of raffle for a boat day with Team MC Fishing, weren’t able to join. So Matt with GOAF and Doug, Captain of Team MC Fishing, offered to let us take their place. This was top 5 best fishing trips of my life. Seeing the kids faces light up as each one of them caught fish. Cap. Doug (and his deckhand David) provided the absolute best kids fishing trip. They were not only patient, but encouraged learning while the kids messed with gear, touched screens and asked a million questions. If you are looking for a genuine good hearted guide, that will ALSO put you on fish and keep you laughing and enjoying your day, THIS IS YOUR GUIDE TO HOOK UP WITH! Not to mention, his boat is so nice and even has a heater!

The morning started out with Captain Doug going over instructions and safety precautions so everybody would be prepared. We didn’t catch any fish, but the trip was very informative and fun. We were out on the water all day, with Captain Doug trying and explaining all kinds of techniques that he use to try to get the fish to bite. It wasn’t for a lack of effort that we didn’t catch fish. Although we didn’t catch any fish, it was a great day on the water with a lot of laughs and information being shared.

Capt Doug was determined to get us into feeding fish! We trolled, jigged and anchored! He was willing to do what was needed without forcing a predetermined method. I finished the day with 7 stripers and 4 catfish!! Thankyou Doug for guiding me to my completion of catching a fish in all 50 states! Catching a striper in the delta has been a goal for a while now. Thank you for choosing me to complete this quest of yours. It didn't feel like work to me at all, it was like fishing with an old friend even though we have never met before. This is the reason I like taking people fishing, to enjoy the time on the water with good people, creating memories to last a lifetime. Captain Doug & First Mate Scott where helpful & friendly.. They introduce interesting conversation subjects.. I hooked a Stripper it got away but likely too small to keep anyway.. Fishing was not good this day..even another boat of fisherman we talked to caught nothing. Most important...I had lots of fun..! I would reccommend you using their services.. I will be going fishing with them again..
