Captain John Fishing Charters – 27'
Captain John offers offshore fishing charters in Pensacola, Florida. When the Red Snapper season comes, the fishing gets hot. Captain John knows all the hottest spots and the methods that work best to catch the big one. If you are looking for some fine angling and a productive day out, Captain John is your guide! After all, it’s all about having fun while catching good table fare.
You will go out aboard a 27-foot World Cat center console, which is a well-maintained fishing machine. The vessel comes powered by twin 200 HP Yamaha engines and is prepared for the current bite. It is rigged with the latest navigational electronics and safety equipment. There is a live well loaded with bait and an ice-box to store the catch and refreshments.
Among the many species that call the Gulf of America waters home, Red Snapper is the most sought-after. Captain John will help you land on a hot bite. You will get a chance to learn the secrets from a pro: John knows the best methods and specializes in jigging, trolling, and bottom fishing. He can take up to six anglers out to fish the reefs and wrecks. Your main target will be Red Snapper and Blackfin Tuna. While butting heads with those species, you will be able to encounter Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, and Cobia.
Each trip comes with all you need to make an outstanding catch possible. You will be provided with quality rods, reels, tackle, and bait, as well as license. Captain John will send your catch home cleaned and ready to go straight into the frying pan. .

Great half day experience
Captain John set us up for a great half day (5 hours) of Red Snapper fishing which is exactly what we asked. We were catching fish at the first stop. We brought in our limit of Red Snapper (released many more), trigger fish and several other species. Captain John was punctual, very friendly and helped us have a great day. Highly recommend you taking a trip with him!

Full Day Trip With Captain John
My wife and I had a great time fishing with Captain John. Had to take pics of a couple of the Red Snapper I caught as we were 1 day early of the season and had to release. Also caught an Amberjack we had to release (out of season too) and several other fish. Had 3 actual keepers that were pretty good over the grill later that night and got to fight a lemon shark for about 20 min or so before the line severed…was able to get it to the surface at a distance and see it. Man do those things fight! Anyway, had a great time fishing with him and would definitely do it again. Super nice guy and put us on more fish than I’ve really ever caught before while on a charter. If we’d only gone 1 day later I could have kept 4 real nice Red Snapper, but it was still fun reeling them in. I Highly recommend Captain John!

1/2 trip out with Captain John
Trigger fish, Black snapper, Mingo Snapper, Remora, Sucker fish, Red Snapper, and Ruby Red are just a few we fought with on our first deep sea fishing adventure. Not all are in season so they had to be released back. Such a great time with my peeps and dinner to take home. We seen a dozen dolphins and flying fish (yeah, it’s a thing!!) everywhere! Thanks Captain John!!!
