Full Day Big Game Fishing on April 13, 2026 • 1 adult
Captain Simon and his crew provided a quality service. They gave me quick responses to my questions before the trip, were at the meetup location early and started the charter on time.
The boat was clean and spacious, their galley was stocked with cold beverages and snacks. The provided lunch was homemade and very tasty. The fishing rods, reels and lures all were in good condition.
While no fishes were caught during the trip, its was not for a lack of trying on the captains part

BIG FUN WITH A TUNA
Half Day Big Game Fishing (PM) on April 22, 2026 • 6 adults
We had a fantastic fishing trip on the boat Prime. Captain Simon explained everything to us first, and then we headed out to sea. At first, it looked like the fish weren't biting. But after about 2.5 hours, our patience was rewarded, and a tuna weighing around 75 kg took the bait. Suddenly, there was a lot of action on board, and after about an hour, we were able to land the tuna in the boat! An amazing experience!

Awesome team, boat and gear!
Full Day Big Game Fishing on July 22, 2025 • 2 adults
Had a really nice day woth my grandson on Prime on 22 July 2025. Great crew, superb boat and quality gear. Threw everything at the fish but the kitchen sink. Trolling seven lines and teasers all day. Darn fish just weren't having any of it.
Wasn't for lack of trying, for sure. We started trolling the minute we were out of the harbor and didn't stop for 7 hours, until we were back at the harbor mouth.
The bite has been slow lately. I was out two days prior on another boat out of Funchal and had the same lack of luck. Only one other boat managed a hook-up today. We got a lone Spearfish to the boat.
In spite of the lack of fish, which is just the way of the world, I'd love to go out with these guys the next time we're in town.

Had a great day out trolling onboard Prime. It's a fantastic boat with the best of kit. I was well looked after by Simon and Alfonso, with good chat and a cracking lunch provided by Simon's wife. We hooked up to one fish but unfortunately didn't land it but that is always a possibility when trolling for big fish; it's never a guarantee. I wouldn't hesitate to book up with them again next time I'm in Madeira and would recommend them to anyone considering a trip out from Calheta.

Great Charter
Full Day Big Game Fishing on July 31, 2025 • 5 adults
We are a family of five visiting from the US with deep sea fishing experience. This was one of the cleanest and well maintained boats we have ever boarded. Captain was great, and mate Alfonso did a great job to ensure our needs were satisfied. Despite not catching any fish, we truly enjoyed our final day on Madeira together. Lunch was also delicious, hats off to the chef!
