Captain John has been fishing his whole life in the freshwaters and the salfwaters, and is familiar with all kinds of techniques. He is a patient teacher who loves having kids and families aboard!
You and your crew will fish aboard a 21-foot Sea Pro angler boat originally built in 2003, with a capacity for 5 guests. It is powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine that gives it good speed and stability on the water. The vessel is equipped with the necessary safety gear and features a GPS, a fishfinder, a livewell for the bait, and a t-top for shade.
Captain John can take you fishing the inshore waters and the Stono, Cooper, Ashley, and Wando Rivers for a variety of species. You can target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Ladyfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, Hammerhead and Blacktip Sharks, and many more species that can be found in these abundant waters.
Holy City Fishing Charters will provide you with the fishing gear including rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and a fishing license. You will keep the fish you intend to cook for dinner, and will release the rest as Captain John practices catch and release in order to preserve the local fisheries for future generations.

Our crew had such a good time. Everyone caught a keeper red and a couple of trout. Also learned some new fishing tips. Very professional and great energy. We can’t wait to go again!
Had an excellent 3 hr inshore trip. Capt John is quite personable and friendly and it was notable that he was familiar with these waters. We had an excellent time and would definitely book again. He exceeded our expectations and can highly recommend his guidance.
Took our 6 year old out with John and Sage. Not only did he catch his first fish, he caught enough to feed a family of 9 dinner. John was so patient and good with him and definitely knew some great spots.
