Instructions for finding the boat were perfect.  We did not catch much, but we did catch one eatable fish that our captain cleaned and bagged for us.(the chef at our hotel cooked it for us, it was wonderful). The day was quite enjoyable. Captain Luis was very knowledgeable about fishing and the area. A very relaxing experience

Hi Tim and Barbara,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review of your fishing experience with us.  We are so happy that you enjoyed your fishing trip with us. We are used to catch tarpon and jacks which are catch and release, but can certainly adjust our tackle to get you that meat fish so you can have a nice dinner.

Fortunately, in this trip we managed to catch a very nice size mackerel which are excellent to eat!

Thank you so much and hope to see you again!

It was a beautiful day out in San Juan bay.  The captain and boat was a great time! Unfortunately we didn’t catch anything after 4 hours which was a bit disappointing and i’m sure independent of the actual crew.

Hi Laura,

Thank you so much for taking your time to post a review.  Unfortunately fish did not cooperated during this afternoon trip. It sometimes happen but I am very happy you still had a great time with us and that you enjoyed your time at the boat.  This day was very slow fishing for the entire fleet.

It was a difficult and slow day fishing for tarpon.  It did not appear that our boat, or other boats that we contacted caught any fish.  I realize that it is called fishing, not catching, and I have had my share of days where I have not caught fish. However, when you charter a boat and you hire a guide, you expect to get more than one strike in four hours. No matter how you look at it, it is a lot of money to pay to have only one hit, and the fish was off the hook almost immediately. Luis was our guide and he was very nice and worked hard to get some fish on the line, but we just couldn’t make it happen. So if I came down to PR again, and had to hire a boat, I feel I would have to try someone else.

Hi Russ, thank you so much for your words and your time to post a review on our profile.  It was indeed a slow fishing day for tarpon. Unfortunately your trip was on one of those few days of the year that tarpon are not in the biting mode. Like you said, none of the other charter boats caught fish that day. It was very slow overall and it does happen sometimes. We had one good tarpon bite that pulled the hook after a couple of jumps.  I am sad that this trip was not up to your expectations and I understand.  Since this is fishing, we cannot guarantee catching fish, we do guarantee that we will do our maximum effort to put you on the fish, and as you stated above, that is what we did.

I invite you to give us another shot if you ever come back to Puerto Rico and I am sure you will not regret it.
