Big Marlin Charters welcome you down to Punta Cana to spend the day fishing offshore for the biggest of big game pelagics. Target Blue and White Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, and more in the deep waters just a short boat ride away. This is blue water fishing just without the long travel times.
You will be fishing aboard the 'Sherlock II', a 39' Mediterranean sportfisher powered by twin Cummins 450s up to a cruising speed of 23 knots - impressive considering her size. She can carry six guests with ease and is equipped with everything you will need for the perfect day on the water.
The boat features a large flybridge to take in the view on your way to the fishing ground and a spacious interior with a full bathroom, galley, salon, and stateroom, making it your home-from-home on the high seas.
The Sherlock II is more than just a pleasure cruiser, though. She is equipped with the latest electronics to get you locked on the fish, outriggers to best target them once you are there, and a fighting chair to make sure you bring in even the fiercest pelagic predators.
You won't need three guesses to figure out what Big Marlin Charters specializes in. The crew are heavy tackle experts, who will get you trolling the deep and hooking fish you can only dream of. All trips come with pick up, drop off, and a selection of drinks to keep you cool and in high spirits on the high seas.

We had a great time fishing with Big Marlin. Captain Rosario did a great job of steering us away from the storms that were happening. We were worried the trip would have been canceled due to weather, but he made it happen. The first mate Andy was also great to talk with us. We caught 6 Mahi Mahi and lost a baracuda close to the boat. Was a great experience and would highly recomment them

We headed out for a very enjoyable and productive afternoon aboard the Sherlock II with first mate Andy and our Captain. They both were very experienced, accommodating, and top notch!! We caught Baraccuda and Wahoo. I would give them 10 stars if there was that option! A great time was had by all! thank you!

Was a beautiful day on the water. First mate Andy/Andre was pretty awesome, my boys each caught a nice Barracuda. We started out about 20 min late, and did not make up the time. the last few hours were unsuccessful, but thats why we call it fishing and not catching. My only suggestion was maybe having the opportunity to maybe bottom fish on the way back so we'd have had an opportunity to catch something else when trolling went cold. Still a solid trip overall with my family 👍

Rosario (Captian) and Andy (First Mate) were awesome. Caught a few fish- including a wahoo which is what we wanted. They both worked hard to take good care of us and knew what they were doing. No communication problems at all!

Our Punta Cana charter was a tale of two experiences. While we were 'upgraded' to a larger boat, the vessel was dated and lacked working fish-finder electronics, which made locating the bite a challenge. However, the crew was phenomenal, earning a full 5 stars for their relentless hustle and expert effort despite the gear setbacks. It was a 3-star boat powered by a 5-star team that truly cared about our experience. I'd recommend them for the service alone, but hope they get their tech sorted soon.
