Sailing out of Port Everglades In Fort Lauderdale for over a decade YB Normal is ready to take clients out for a great day of fishing. Captain Vinnie offers a range of trips, with four to 8-hour packages and the choice of coming as a group or jumping aboard a shared charter. With this many options, there is no excuse not to go fishing!
The YB Normal is a 43’ Torres sportfishing boat which has seen regular maintenance since the day she was built and makes for the perfect place for groups of 6 anglers to enjoy a great day’s fishing. She has a comfortable, air-conditioned interior with a bathroom, galley, and plenty of space to relax in between bites.
She is also loaded with a literal boatload of equipment and tech to make sure you get some great catches. The latest electronics from Garmin and Furuno will sound out the deep and have you always fishing in the right spot. Outriggers and downriggers will maximize your spread and target species, and a fighting chair will let you hold your own against whatever you hook.
What you target will depend on the trip you choose. Half day charters will mainly drift and bottom fish around local reefs, targeting bottom species as well as a few fast-moving fish like King Mackerel and Bonito. Full and ¾ days can have you targeting anything from Tilefish to Sailfish, depending on what you want to get out of your trip.
Want to beat the heat and get some awesome catches while you do so? Book in for a nighttime Snapper charter, anchoring over local reefs as the sun goes down to target big Yellowtail, Mangrove, and Mutton Snapper which come out after dark.
Whatever you do, you are in for a great time, with an experienced captain, quality equipment, and a whole ocean of awesome fish just waiting for someone to drop a hook in front of them. It might as well be you, right?

Awesome fishing trip!!
We had a great time fishing as this was actually our best fishing trip we have ever had and it was with with YB Normal! We caught a variety of fish including King Mackerel, Bonita, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and amazingly so a Sailfish! This was an unforgettable experience as the Captain navigated and the deckhand ensured we landed our fish in the icebox, also the Captain filleted our fish at the end. We will definitely book with YB Normal on future fishing trips as he is very experienced and knowledgeable. Shout out @YB Normal for a memorable family trip!!

Book A Full Day; You Won't Regret It
On the business front, Vinnie was easily reachable to talk about the trip I had in mind for my wife's first time out in the ocean before I even booked with him. After I booked, he reached out the day before with information about what you can bring along and the meeting location. Vinnie, along with boat mate Steve, provided a plethora of knowledge and made it a stress free trip. On the actual fishing aspect of the trip, we had a fantastic time. Vinnie had several spots for different species and we left with a cooler full of various fish and tired arms from reeling. Steve did a great job keeping hooks in the water without long lulls of waiting, which in our case of 20+ fish is impressive since he was having to continually switch between all his tasks. Once we returned to the dock (15ish minutes from open water), Vinnie fileted all our fish for us and helped with recommendations on ways to prepare the various fish and a recommendation to a local place that will cook your catch for you. I was so impressed that at completion, I booked another charter with him for next month. I cannot recommend Vinnie enough and I have no doubt that he'll pull out every trick possible to put you on fish.

6 Hour Trip (AM)
Perfect Group Charter.
My group and I went out with Captain Vinnie on his boat YB Normal for 6 hours on 12/22/24. Our group arrived at the dock as instructed and Captain Vinnie assisted us in getting on board as well as a quick safety briefing. It took about 15-30 minutes to get to the fishing grounds. We started out trolling where my gf quickly hooked into a Bonito tuna. Soon after Captain Vinnie got us into a trophy sailfish something I’ve always wanted to catch. The fight was incredible and watching the sailfish jump was unreal! We trolled a bit more and then decided to drop some cut bait on deep-water wrecks. We did that for another few hours and everyone in the group caught a mix of red snapper, vermillion snapper, porgy, and Almaco Jack! Everything that was of legal size we took home including a giant red snapper. Finally ended up dropping some live bait down on some wrecks on our way back to the dock but no grouper decided to take the bait. Overall an amazing trip. We caught tons of different species including two trophies. I would recommend Captain Vinnir and his boat YB normal to anyone whose trying to have an amazing deep-sea fishing experience!

4 Hour Trip – Private (AM)
Caught a few fish
Vinny did great job trolling some fish up for us . It was little windy to setup A bottom fish . Him and John the mate hooked up some shirts for sail and king but no action so put on spoon . Got in to few Bonitas with tuna Barb and I couldn’t wait to eat the fish . Took fish right to room we eat fresh Tuna pick some soy sauce from restaurant down stairs we eat whole fillet that night. There was few fish so we could give my daughter half and take back to Ohio other half we got about 5 lbs. Have to say black fin is best eat Tuna .Thanks again Vinny and John we had great trip !!!

3 Hour Beginners Trip (AM)
Awesome first trip!
Took our girls (7 & 10) out on their first fishing charter and it couldn’t have gone better! Captain Vinny’s boat is perfectly set up and first mate, Garrett, had us prepared and ready to make most of our time on the water. They both set great expectations that the fishing hadn’t been great of recent but nonetheless over delivered and got us on some Mahi and King Mackerel. They were both great with the girls. Couldn’t recommend more booking with this great duo … look forward to doing it again next time we’re in town!

We had a great time fishing as this was actually our best fishing trip we have ever had and it was with with YB Normal! 6 Hour Trip (AM) on December 22, 2024
My group and I went out with Captain Vinnie on his boat YB Normal for 6 hours on 12/22/24. Our group arrived at the dock as instructed and Captain Vinnie assisted us in getting on board as well as a quick safety briefing. It took about 15-30 minutes to get to the fishing grounds.
