We booked a 4 hour trip and I can’t say enough great things about Capt. Eddie. Having never fished here before, I really appreciated the communication from him prior to our trip. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and has great sea stories! While the fishing wasn’t what anybody hoped for (Especially Captain Eddie), he worked his tail off trying to get us on fish, but the bite just didn’t happen today. We did end up with one little Skipjack, so technically I cantnsay we didn’t catch anything! 😁 Based on the overall experience today, I will definitely book another trip with Captain Eddie the next time I and my family get down here!

We went out today when all other boats were docked- Captain Eddie is busy for a reason. He's extremely knowledgeable, a terrific captain, and fishing buddy (I went solo). We got in fish right away and hit multiple spots trolling. Hooked up and landed about 10 fish but kept only tge tasty ones (4 Mahi and my first Blackfin Tuna!) Was hooked on 2 much bigger fish that got the best of me, one shaking the hook within a minute and a larger, possibly Sailfish by the way it ran, gave me a solid 15 minute fight before I lost it. Captain was a great coach and talked about all things fishing and suites a down to earth genuine person. I had a blast and can't wait to be back in the Fort Lauderdale area to fish with him again. Highest recommendation!

We had a fantastic time today! We parked the car and walked over and Captain Eddie was waiting for us. Our 11-year-old son was super excited about this trip. After booking, Captain Eddie called and wanted to learn more about what our expectations were so he could supersede them. I informed him that our youngest son was looking to learn as much as he can about trolling and fishing in deeper waters he understood the assignment!! he spent so much time teaching our son, and sharing with him tricks of the trade, we caught five fish on our four hour trip the location was perfect as was the weather. My son kept asking when’s the next time we can go out!! we are all looking forward to our next adventure with Captain Eddie and we highly recommend him.

We spent Father’s Day with Reel Addiction Fishing Charter out of Pompano Beach, Florida, and had an incredible experience from start to finish. It was our first time ever fishing in the open ocean, and even though the water was a bit rough that day, Captain Eddie made sure we were safe, comfortable, and having a great time the entire trip. His knowledge of the area really showed — he put us right on the fish! We caught two bonito, two barracuda, and a kingfish that we got to keep (he even filleted it for us on the boat!). One of the wildest moments was when my wife was fighting a bonito and a shark came up and bit it in half mid-fight — an insane and unforgettable experience! The boat was clean, well-equipped, and handled the choppy water great. Captain Eddie was professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. Whether you’re new to ocean fishing or experienced, I highly recommend Reel Addiction — we’ll definitely be back!

My 9 year old son and I had a great trip with Captain Eddie. We only booked a 6 hour trip which I knew would limit how far we could go but thankfully the deep water is within 2 miles from shore. We were a bit early to the ramp but Eddie was alongside the dock and ready to go so the trip started a little earlier than the planned 7am. We headed out of the inlet on a flat calm, busy day on the water with many other boats doing the same. Captain Eddie was just setting his spread and had a fish pull the line out of his hands! Fish on. My 9 year old wound in a keeper Mahi Mahi within minutes of leaving the inlet. There was a lot of seaweed and boats to contend with but Eddie is an extremely hard working captain who worked the various depths while constantly making sure the spread was cleared of seaweed with perfectly presented lures. He did all this while educating us about the methodology and processes of his fishing tactics. Never a dull moment. We covered a fair bit of ground and picked away at the fish on what I gather was a mediocre day. We fish regularly and know that there is never a guarantee of catching fish but on this 6 hour trip we managed 2 keeper mahi, 2 keeper king mackerel, released a large barracuda, happily pulled the hook on another barracuda right near the boat, released a small Almaco jack and had something hit the port rigger so hard it broke the line. We went home with a big bag of filleted fish and some great memories. I cannot stress enough how hard Eddie worked to make something happen out there today. We will absolutely be back to fish with Eddie again and I 100% recommend him for anyone looking for a productive and educational fishing experience.
