Kenny was great! Very experienced and knowledgeable. Two in our party caught fish while two others had near catches. He clearly knows the area and where to catch fish. He adjusts his trips based on the group and was super nice. Would definitely recommend booking with Kenny. When we come back, we will definitely book with him again.

First and foremost Captain Jerry is focused on safety and a good fishing experience. I’ve been on many charters and there comes a time when fishing is difficult. In these situations there are those captains and mates that will grind it out and still catch fish using a multitude of techniques.That’s the DNA of Captain Jerry and first mate Tyler. We caught a some great Mahi Mahi and a nice Wahoo. If you are on the Big Island and want to fish we recommend Malama charters for you and your family.

Our day started a bit late as we had some weather pushing out of the area in the morning but the crew pushed the start time back a few hrs so we could maximize fishing and enjoyment. Overall, we caught a few fish, told some big stories and ultimately had a great day! The hanks for a wonderful trip!

Captain and crew were great, but fishing wasn't. I'm sure it is better some days than others, but that's just the way it goes! Both Captain and crew were very competent, and kept lines in the water at all times.

Repurposing an old fishing boat gave us an authentic and fun deep sea fishing experience. While we didn’t catch “The Big Fish”, Captain Jerry made sure we caught fish we could take home and eat. Deckhand Victor was charming and informative and made sure we had a great experience. Our 16 year old grandson has not stopped talking about the experience yet, so I call this a true winner!

Captain Jerry and Tyler were great. Lots of facts and stories mixed in with the fishing! Electric reels for bottom fishing made the end of the day a breeze. Highly recommend for a great day of fishing!

Jerry and crew were amazing. They had great attitudes, got to know us and gave us some info about them we went with 6 and two were younger kids 10+ they had a blast. We caught a barracuda and the crew took care of cleaning for us and made sure we knew what to do with it. I highly recommend this charter

Our family of four had a great trip. Captain Jerry and his co-captain were amazing. Their communication before the trip was top-notch and they were just as warm and friendly on the boat. They had everything ready to go and provided excellent service. We successfully caught a Wahoo and Mahi Mahi which were beautiful. My kids had a great time and we would gladly do it again.

Our family of 5 had a great time today! We learned the basics of fishing and my two sons who fished learned a lot and my youngest caught a fish within a few minutes of casting his line! Kenny was so fun and informative. I would highly recommend this excursion if you are a beginner or have more experience. Either way, you’ll have a great time.

Had a great trip with Jerry and Kimo today. The seas were a little rough on the landlubbers but we caught fish and had a wonderful time onboard. Couldn’t recommend this charter experience more highly.

Had a nice time trying something new, fishing off a Cliff at South Point State Park. We are avid fisherman but it was cool to see some different species. Kenny was great, knowledgeable, provided equipment and bait. We had fun and was one of the top experiences on our Hawaiian trip for our 10 year old.
