I love fishing in Winyah Bay in the fall. There are numerous good guides in the area and I would especially recommend Fish Skinny Charters (Capt. Greg Holmes) for a great experience. He's a great guy and he will put you on some fish.

Captain Greg was a great Captain, changing how we catch fish (artificial lures vs live bait), moving when fishing slowed, all to ensure the best opportunity. He worked to catch our bait at the beginning of the trip so we would have options. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Mainly caught red fish and trout. Great trip!

Captain Mike put us on where a lot of tarpon were at but nothing biting but 1 stringray, 1 Gar, and 2 Huge Bull sharks. Hot day in August though on the 22nd.

This was an awesome trip. We caught a lot of fish and caught some big fish. Captain Greg knows where the fish are and did a great job of putting us on them all day. I strongly recommend Captain Greg to anyone looking for a fishing charter in the low country.

You will not find a better Captain in the Carolinas. Captain Greg Holmes was born and raised on this waterway and his local knowledge of the Carolina fishery is top notch. He works hard to put you on fish and has the patience to teach you how to catch them once he puts you on the fish. I have over 20 trips in the books with him and have nothing but great memories of those days.

Greg did a fantastic job putting us on fish in multiple spots. We had a great time pulling in monster spottails and some nice trout all day. He is very familiar with all of the waters around Winyah Bay. I look forward to going with him again soon and hope you will do the same. You won't be disappointed!

Real good time. Redfish, sea trout, and tarpon.Had a monsterTarpon on but the fish sheared the line. Lots of fish —going back this year.

I've been out with Capt Greg Holmes several times in the beautiful waters around Winyah Bay. Greg knows these waters very well and can find both the baitfish you need and the big reds you are out hunting! And if you're lucky, he may hook you up with an exciting shark fight or elusive tarpon.
Boat and gear are first class, and his knowledge of the area gets you into some tight spots that fish love but other boaters might avoid. All around great experience

Had a great time on a full day trip catching reds. Captain Greg handled everything so all we had to do was show up and go fishing. It was the boys’ first time on salt water and now they’re “hooked”! Highly recommend!
