San Diego Skipjack Fishing Charters

This charter targets light-tackle sport fish in the calm waters of San Diego Bay rather than offshore in the ocean. Species commonly targeted include halibut, spotted bass, calico bass, bonefish, and various smaller shark species.

We'll be fishing local kelp beds, reefs, wrecks, & rocky structure just outside the bays for a variety of species like Barracuda; Bass, Bonito, Lingcod, Mackerel, Rockfish, Skipjack, and Vermilion Rockfish, depending on the season and conditions.

Spend the morning fishing for halibut, spotted bay bass, bonefish, and sharks in the calm waters of San Diego Bay. These trips are perfect for those who may get seasick or prefer not to spend a full day at sea. Live bait is not included but can be purchased for an additional fee. Please note the trip is primarily catch and release. Maximum of 4 people per trip.

This is a local 3/4-day fishing trip to Coronado Island in Mexico. A Mexican fishing license and valid passports are required. Licenses can be purchased at Fisherman's Tackle on the way to the marina. We target bottom fish species such as Rockfish, Halibut, and Yellowtail. These trips are very enjoyable, as we typically catch a steady amount of bottom fish. Trip times are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This is a perfect trip for the whole family, as everyone gets their chance for a catch. Don't forget your fishing licenses. Dozens of species can be caught on all of our local trips. Yellowtail, barracuda, bonito, bass, white sea bass, sharks, rockfish and occationaly even mahi mahi and tuna can be caught. Start your day with a few hours of fishing and get back to the marina with a bucket full

The 8-hour trip to the Coronado Islands or the Rockpile covers a 40-mile round trip. This trip offers the chance to catch yellowtail, bonito, barracuda, and calico bass, or to enjoy some of our best rockfishing. FMM visas and bio bracelets are included. A valid passport, along with California and Mexican fishing licenses, is required for this trip.

We can accommodate up to 3 passengers. Live bait is available for an additional fee. On this trip, we target inshore species along the coast, ranging from yellowtail to sculpin. We may also fish for rockfish in deeper water on the 9-Mile Bank using electric reels. This trip can offer excellent fishing and a chance to fill your freezer with fresh, tasty fillets. All equipment and basic tackle are included.

I'll walk you through the online licensing processing. This trip requires additional permits and one must have a passport. The Coronado Islands are beautiful and have several options for quality fish! One of my favorite trips! Well go anywhere from 8-12 hours.
