For these species, you're likely to troll, fly line, or bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Captain Pablo also offers kite fishing/trophy fishing. If you’d like to go after a trophy bluefin, do a booking request for full day offshore and we’ll speak. Same for spear fishing.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
Your fishing machine for the day is the Kate Elizabeth. She is a 33' Boston Whaler sport fishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board in an enclosed restroom. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is provided as needed and included with trips.
An industry standard tip of 10-20% is greatly appreciated! Gratuity should be based on the performance, professionalism, and knowledge of the Captain and crew. As a rule of thumb 10-20% average and good service 20% and up = excellent/outstanding!
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. It's recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen. Water and Gatorade is included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for the trip.

He was constantly working and dialing things in until we found ’em. You could tell he wasn’t about to just sit around and hope the fish showed up. He was grinding the whole day to make sure we had the best shot possible. Super chill dude, great vibes, and knows his way around water. Definitely one of those trips where you get off the boat stoked, sunburned, and already thinking about the next one 😂. Huge thanks to Captain Pablo and the deckhand Kayden for putting us on and making it a killer day. 10/10 would absolutely go again.

Coronado Islands-Full Day on June 7, 2024 • 3 adultsCaptain Noah and Pablo are very friendly and passionate about their job and has everything you can try out on board. We went for a tuna/yellowtail trip but the fish were just not biting at all on that day. We went and got quite a few rock fish and good sized Sculpin and a huge white fish. Captain has ikejime tools onboard for use if you want to ikejime your fish. Overall very fun day and would definitely come back when the tunas are fully on!

4 Hour Trip – Local (12PM to 4PM) on December 26, 2023 • 3 adultsPablo Fernandez contacted me as soon as I had booked and ensured to answer all my questions and arrangements were made. Went out with Cpt Ian / deckhand Kadin and they were both amazing. Did all the work and made sure that everytime we dropped the line a fish (sometimes two on one) came up with it. My wife, dad and I took some dramamine but it didn't work so well for me and my wife my however, Cpt Ian took care of us and we still ended up having a great time out there. Will definitely book with this charter the next time we come back out to San Diego.

Pablo knew right away what I meant. He come up with a plan ask us if we liked his plan. Forty eight years fishing four or more times a year never has a Capt ask me if I approved the plan. Made me feel like was working with me. Well his plan was right on. We caught YELLOWTAIL AND DORADO. COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY. SUPER CLEAN BOAT AND GREAT DECKHAND.

you guys were awesome. Can’t wait to see you today for a sea trial on my boat that you guys get to fish on since you’re still here. how cold was it to see two hammerhead pilot whales, all the dolphin and all the life everywhere and clear blue warm water.

I recently went on a fishing charter in San Diego with Captain Pablo, and it was an incredible experience. Our group of six targeted rockfish, and we had a fantastic day on the water, catching a ton of Scorpion Fish, Red Fish, and a variety of others. Captain Pablo was not only knowledgeable but also a great teacher. He took the time to help each of us improve our fishing techniques, making the trip both educational and fun. The boat was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed for a successful day of fishing. Overall, it was a memorable trip, and I recommend Captain Pablo for anyone looking to have a great fishing adventure in San Diego.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
