Punta Gorda Gag Grouper Fishing Charters

On this #1 booked trip you will be heading up to 45 miles into the Gulf of Mexico and bottom fishing as well as a possibility of trolling over many of the reefs, wrecks, and rock ledges where you will be fishing for a variety of fish including Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Barracuda, and occasional Mahi and Tuna. These fish will wear you out so be ready for a great day of fishing out in the Gulf Of Mexico.

From April to August, Boca Grande boasts the largest Tarpon population in the world. This majestic fish puts on a show that's hard to top, and your captain will help you reel in the trophy catch of your dreams! These fish are aerial artists and the second you hook one you'll agree it deserves the name "The Silver King." Capt. Johnny will provide all the gear you need to reel in this slice of royalty, as well as a valid fishing license.

A longer trip allows you to spend more time fishing for what you want to catch. A standard trip involves starting inshore and moving in the Gulf of Mexico, with the targeted species being Amberjack, Redfish, Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, and more. Rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price, as are the necessary fishing licenses.

Take a ride to what fishing and relaxing is all about. Enjoy the local culture and views in beautiful Charlotte harbor, targeting snook, redfish and spotted sea trout. Please of other species also come to feed once we are on the water.

You get 8 hours on the water to do a bit of everything! From inshore fishing to nearshore reefs, you get plenty of time to test your line in different techniques with various species, including saltwater superstars. Big Snappers, Groupers, as well as Sharks, Snook, and Redfish are all on the menu.

On a 6-hour trip, you will have the time to experience some different types of fishing. For example, trolling, bottom fishing, and casting. There will be time to do multiple types of fishing both inshore and nearshore. This will be up to the captain's discretion based on the weather and bite!

6-Hour Inshore Fishing Trip: This is a group rate from 1-4 anglers's. Fish areas: Mangroves, Flats, Passes and Sounds. Trip includes: Fishing Licenses, Bait, Rods, Tackle and bottled water. Baits: Live, Cut and/or Artificial. Species commonly caught include: Mangrove Snapper, Spotted Seatrout, Snook, Redfish, Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Grouper, Cobia, Tarpon, Shark, and more based on season. You can keep as long as it's legal to do so.

This offshore trip will bring you 20-25 miles out. We will be targeting Lane Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Porgies, and other tasty fish.
