In June the odds get better, but water may still not be warm enough. Starting in July the chances improve of finding king mackerel, mahi-mahi, tuna, & wahoo. Choose an 8 hr near shore trip. We stay within 30 miles of shore. We keep our plans dynamic to adapt to conditions. On summer days we might find some structure that is holding mahi. We might see a bird play marking tuna or bluefish. 8 hours is enough time to target some larger species. I’m trained to bend the rods and versatile enough to develop a game plan based on current conditions.
