Your Fishing Charter

Aqua Nautical Adventures – Blu-Ray is a charter boat operating on the East Coast of Africa, namely Durban - Kwa-Zulu Natal. Durban is also known as the ‘Sunshine Province’ with endless beaches and a cosmopolitan culture to make the atmosphere exciting and vibrant. 

With their all year-round fishing waters, which carry a variety of Game & Reef fish, you can be sure that all of your desires will be fulfilled in some of the most beautiful tropical waters. 

Aqua Nautical Adventures offers a wide variety of fishing techniques from chasing ‘Big Game’ to just spending time with family & friends on a day out on the ‘Big Blue’. So if it’s sitting in the fighting chair, vertical jigging, popping, trolling or bottom reef fishing, they’ll be sure to accommodate you. 

Their 30’ Mallards, powered by twin 200 HP Suzuki outboards will get you to the fishing grounds safely and comfortably while listening to the onboard entertainment system. 

She has most of the comforts of a home: enclosed cabin and upstairs helm from which you can watch the beautiful coastline or keep an eye on the activities below. The onboard toilet and basin also make the experience more comfortable. You can enjoy a refreshment from the onboard fridge in the saloon, away from the sun, until you hear the sound of a ‘screaming reel’. Onboard you will find all the fishing equipment that is needed for your target species. 

Aqua Nautical Adventures keep a variety of makes and models to suit you, namely Shimano, Daiwa, Penn, as well as an assortment of Kona’s, lures, jigs, traces, and bait. So come on board ‘Blu-Ray’ and experience the amazing coastline for a day of fishing and breathtaking cruise.

They'll get a short tour of the boat’s operations and learn all the basics of fishing from the experienced and friendly crew members of Aqua Nautical Adventures. Please note, this charter accommodates a maximum of 8 anglers per trip.

4HR Harbour Fishing

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Durban port while you make your way to the scattered reefs just outside the port entrance. The view of the Durban skyline from this position is absolutely spectacular! Dolphins are often seen frolicking around the bay. Get ready to target reef fish and bottom-dwellers, using light tackle for a bit of a challenge. Please note, this charter accommodates a maximum 8 anglers per trip. Fishing permits are required by law.

5HR Backline/Inshore Reef Fishing

Ideal for beginners and family's with children or groups for a fun trip
A mixture of trawling and bottom fishing. A wide variety of reef fish can be caught on this trip

5 Hour mid/deep

On this trip, you'll be fishing the reefs off Durban. This trip is highly productive and produces a wide variety of reef fish so your options will be as endless as the horizon! Sit back and enjoy, and hold on to your rod as the deeper reefs hold some spectacular species. Your main targets are Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and Billfish, which are typically found in deeper waters. Please note, this trip takes a maximum of up to 8 anglers. Also, fishing permits are required by law!

6HR Mid/Deep Reef Fishing

You'll mainly be fishing the reefs off the coast of Durban to target reef fish, but you'll also have a chance to go a bit deeper and have a go at some Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and Billfish as well. This is an exciting trip for all level of anglers and always produces exciting action! Please note, this trip takes up to 8 guests and fishing permits are required by law.

6HR Game/Reef Offshore Fishing

Durban enjoys a large variety of Billfish Species over our summer months. With Water temperature that averages 24 to 25 degrees Celcius, we attract a wide range of billfish that includes: Sailfish and Marlin. A Bycatch when targeting Marlin often includes the following species: Dorado (Mahi Mahi) Wahoo Yellow Fin Tuna. This trip takes up to 8 anglers and fishing permits are compulsory.
