Aqua Nautical Adventures
, NL, South Africa
Aqua Nautical Adventures is a specialist game fishing charter operating of Durban, on the east coast of South Africa. Durban is known as South Africa’s ‘Sunshine State’, and the endless beaches and cosmopolitan culture add to the city’s vibe.
Most importantly, Durban is located in an excellent fishing territory. Tuna are available all year round, and from December to March the local waters are visited by one of the most prestigious fish species: the Marlin. Both Black and Striped Marlins can be found within 30 miles of the coast, and Blue Marlins can be found further offshore. Mahi-mahi, King Mackerel, Walla Walla, Salmon, and Sailfish are also regular visitors to these seas, according to season and conditions.
“Blue Ray”, Aqua’s 30’ Cobra Cat 900, is well equipped to target all these species and more on specialist game charters. Few charter boats in the area specialize solely in game fishing, making Aqua Nautical Adventures a logical and safe choice if you’re after a productive and competent game fishing experience.
The boat is equipped with quality Shimano tackle and carries a wide range of Kona and Rapala lures. She is excellently appointed inside, with a bathroom and bedroom on board, as well as a substantial cabin that is always a welcome relief from the hot South African sun. The boat’s flybridge offers excellent views of the surrounding seas and coastlines, while the onboard Sony sound system can keep you entertained as you steam out towards the fishing grounds.
Aqua Nautical Adventures employs only the most experienced skippers to captain their charter boats. They specialize in Marlin fishing and have skippered charter boats in several countries globally. They all hold yacht master qualifications and are some of the best people in the world to show you to game fish in the area. The team also includes experienced fly fishermen and spear fishermen, allowing you to employ a variety of techniques when fishing with the company.
