This was our very first time fishing on Lake Michigan, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Captain Greg and Kathy made the entire trip enjoyable, smooth, and memorable from start to finish. My kids 9 and 11) and I had an absolute blast reeling in fish and learning the ropes, but what really stood out was how much my wife—who doesn’t usually join us on fishing trips—also enjoyed herself. The boat was clean, the equipment was top-notch, and the service was outstanding. Greg and Kathy were incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. This trip was the highlight of our family vacation, and we’re already looking forward to coming back! Highly recommended!

The crew was very attentive and communicative about everything.
We went on the morning of the 9th of June and I had a group of 5 (2 beginner fisherman)
We didn’t catch our limit but we caught 15 (threw one back) and based on how the captain talked with other charters we managed to catch the most fish that morning. Very fun conversations with the crew, very nice clean boat.
If I’m in that area doing a fishing charter again I would gladly book them for a second time. They were also very decently priced based on others in the area

My son & I had a fantastic time with Hold’em Sportfishing aboard their kings full vessel. Captain Greg kept us informed before the charter of weather conditions, license requirements and target fish species. The boat was very comfortable and we felt super safe at all times, even in the late season, October waves! Captain let my son pick out a few of the lures to use, shared some great stories, as well as the fun games of which line will hit next! There was also some competition between the lines that Captain Greg & first mate, Cathy set up - which Cathy did win!!! And, we caught some great fish - first lakers for both my son & I, as well as some salmon! Looking forward to a future charter!

I can’t say enough good things about Hold ‘Em Sportfishing and there isn’t enough space here for me to cover everything that made the experience so awesome. I brought my two kids and my friends three kids out for a 5 hour trip, which was the perfect amount of time for kids under 10.

We hooked 16 fish on the day and landed 11 which is pretty darn good with a bunch of kids. We caught king salmon, Coho salmon, a massive brown trout and rainbow trout / steelhead. Captain Greg and his wife Kathy were the nicest people you could ask for and were amazing with the kids. They answered all of their questions, were patient, accommodating and weren’t the least bit bothered by the food crumbs left on the deck.

This was the first type of experience fishing for all of the kids and they didn’t stop talking about it until they fell asleep finally. I will 100% be booking again with Hold ‘Em and won’t even bother trying another boat in Milwaukee because I don’t think anyone else could hit the standard they set.

Captain and 1st mate are top notch. Couldn’t have asked for a better sunset experience. Within an hour we were on the fish and it was nonstop action until dark. One of the best experiences for a business relationship outing.  Highly recommend. Thanks again.
