TANNIC WATER ADVENTURES FISHING REPORT โ€“ WHERE THE FISH ARE BITING AND THE CAPTAINโ€™S SUNBURN HAS A ZIP CODE Well folks, grab your tackle boxes and your emotional support beer because this weekโ€™s fishing report is hotter than a June wedding in a Florida church with no A/C. The morning bite on the St. Johns has been downright disrespectful. We pulled up to the first spot and the fish were already laughing at us like theyโ€™d read the Yelp reviews. Tossed a live shrimp under a popping cork and BAM!โ€”first cast, trout hits it so hard I thought it owed him money. Redfish are schooling tighter than tourists at a โ€œfree samplesโ€ tray. We spotted a pod tailing so perfectly, I swear one of them winked at me. Client hooked up and the drag screamed like my ex when I bought another rod. Fish ran under the boat, did a full Nascar lap, then gave us the fin and spit the hook. Classic.

The redfish are hotter than a sunscreen bottle left on the console. Theyโ€™ve been schooling tighter than a middle school dance, and if you cast anything that remotely resembles foodโ€”or even a bad haircutโ€”theyโ€™re crushing it like they owe it money. We rolled up at first light and immediately spotted tails waving like they were at a redfish rave. The first cast was textbook. The second cast hit a mullet. The third hit my hat. But after a few mechanical adjustments (and one emotional breakdown), we were locked in.

We hit the water at zero-dark-thirty, armed with light tackle, caffeine, and the kind of optimism normally reserved for lottery winners and first dates. Highlights of the week: Redfish are acting like they just discovered yogaโ€”super flexible and all over the place.

This weekโ€™s fishing was so good, we considered changing the name of the boat to "No Witnesses." Weโ€™re talking bend-the-rod-till-it-squeals, yell-for-the-net-like-itโ€™s-an-emergency kind of action. If fish had a union, theyโ€™d be on strike after what we did to them. Now, weโ€™re not saying what we caughtโ€”but letโ€™s just say it was the kind of bite that makes grown adults giggle and high-five like kids who just got away with something. Clients left with sore arms, big smiles, and zero idea how theyโ€™ll explain the โ€œmysterious sunburn and fish slimeโ€ combo to their bosses on Monday.

This weekโ€™s redfish bite has been hotter than a jalapeรฑo in July! The reds are schooling up tighter than a Black Friday crowd at a bait sale, and they're hangry. Weโ€™ve been tossing everything from live shrimp to lures so shiny theyโ€™d distract a magpieโ€”and the redfish have been hammering them like they owe โ€˜em money. Slot reds, over-slot reds, and one poor guy who tried to hug a red thinking it was his lost dogโ€”itโ€™s been that kind of week. We had a client yell, โ€œThis oneโ€™s fighting like my ex!โ€ and honestly, he wasnโ€™t wrong. These fish are pulling harder than your uncle at a crab boil.
