Background: Capt. Tyler is the owner of both Nothin’ Matters Fishing Charters LLC and First Light Fishing Charters. He is the captain of the First Light boat and Seth is the captain of the Nothin' Matters. Both Captain Tyler and Captain Seth have been fishing the Destin and surrounding waters for over 20 years. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all anglers. Tyler has made a name for himself in tournaments and when not on charters, he is out looking for hot fishing spots. Both Tyler and Seth have lived in Destin their whole lives and always go above and beyond to give you a once in a lifetime fishing experience.
Techniques: We find the fish and then use either live bait or lures to reel them in. Whether bottom fishing, trolling, wreck and/or reef fishing, we will try everything to throw out exactly what the targeted fish is biting at that given moment. We will make sure you bring home dinner and have the trip of a lifetime.

6hr slay day with amazing people

This day was alittle rough with a 15 knot south wind and three foot seas. However, this didn’t stop this group from having an amazing day of fishing. The bait was fired up this morning and we caught what we needed in about ten minutes. We trolled to our spot within the hour and ended up limiting our on are triggerfish and vermillion snappers within two hours. This left us with an additional hour to fish. The guys really wanted to catch some grouper, so we ended up catching some nice gags and red grouper to finish for the day. When we got back to dock the guys had so much fish they knew they wouldn’t eat so they graciously provided myself and the crew with some.

On March 24th the weather couldn’t of been any better. The winds were blowing five knots out of the southeast and the seas were 1-2 foot. The clients we ended up taking out were repeats. It didn’t take long from when we arrived to our first spot we caught some real scamps. In fact we landed the largest scamp this boat has ever caught. She weighed in at a massive 16lbs. We later on caught numerous gag groupers which weighed between 10-20lbs and nice red grouper. The mingos (vermillion snappers) and porgies were also biting good. Caught a lot of red snappers that we had to throw back as well as many other species.

This was my wife’s bucket item for the longest time. We did hours of research and decided to go with Nothin’ Matters out of Destin. Best trip ever. Crew was great. Made it the most effortless way possible. We had one job, reel. We are ready to book an over night trip with them soon.

Captain Tyler on Nothin Matters is the best captain I have ever fished with. We have never been on a trip were we didnt catch our limit. The boat is just an extension of his body, he can read the water like nobody have ever seen. If you want an amazing fishing charter experience he is the man.

We took a 7hr trip with Captain Tyler and his mate Frank. It was great! We wanted big fish and were not disappointed! Snagged a nice dusky shark and several large red snapper and grouper. Frank was attentive, patient, and quick to bait. Highly recommend this boat and crew!

This is one trip you will never forget! We had constant action throughout the night, followed by a great day of bottomfishing the next day. Captain Tyler and his crew are very knowledgeable, and a blast to fish with. Highly recommend using them on your next trip!
