First time I tried this and it may be an acquired taste. It can be boring as you are poled along trying to see if there are fish on the bottom. I like casting and reeling more.

Hi James! Sorry you found the flats fishing boring….yes, it’s VERY challenging! The one thing I don’t understand about your review is the boat part…..The boat is a 2024 custom Hells Bay flats skiff…...one of the best made…..80,000 dollars worth!! So , your 3.7 is NOT on point!!! Anyway, yes flats fishing is challenging although you did actually hook a bonefish briefly…...we caught several other fish that I cleaned for your dinner and we did it all in 4 hours!!!! ... More

Anyway, yes flats fishing is challenging although you did actually hook a bonefish briefly…...we caught several other fish that I cleaned for your dinner and we did it all in 4 hours!!!!

AND on top of that , I went out of my way by picking you up at Key Largo Campground , even though it was out of my usual route, understanding that you didn’t have a vehicle at the time.

Based on the fishing lunar apps I have, today was gonna be a tough one. So, we knew that going into it. But, the Lunar fishing app does not account for Captain Randy! He was EXTREMELY and very helpful with helping my son and I dial in our fishing skills! We learned a lot! Caught a good variety of fish! And saw A LOT of wildlife we don’t get in Minnesota! Highly recommend fishing with Captain Randy!!! We hope to be back as well! Thank you Captain Randy for an amazing adventure!
