Perhaps the most important quality or trait of a charter captain is that he or she loves the job.  Mike is the perfect example of this.  Not only is he a skilled fisherman and USCG certified captain, he really enjoys hosting you and your party.  Even on a slow day (which is an extremely rare outlier aboard his vessels) he will never quit.  It pays off, because he regularly produces when others fail to.  Accomodations are great aboard either of his vessels and his tackle and equipment is second to none!  Did I mention he has auto-pilot?  This feature allows the captain to spend more time teaching and assisting the clients, ensuring a great trip.  If you have already fished with him on Lake Ontario I highly reccomend you book a striped bass trip in april/may.  Likewise, if you have been fortunate enough to see him whisper the big stripers into the spread by the dozens you really need to see him in action on Lake O!  To top it off he’ll even guide you river fishing to catch that salmon/trout of a lifetime. I’ve done it all.  Folks, you can’t go wrong here… when others are slow Mikey is kicking A because he goes the extra mile.  It’s not a question of if you should book…. just when you should.  He will treat you well and truly appreciates your business.  10/10 stars all day long, 11 on sundays.  I

He is safe and really knows the lake

I’ve been on two chartered trips with Mike on Lake Ontario and both times were a great success. He has quality equipment and a clean boat. Two things I look for in fishing out on the lake. It is also nice to have working facilities on the boat. I was able to learn quite a bit going out on these trips!

Also I have fished with mike for salmon on the DSR of the salmon river. Yet another time where my arms were too sore to move the next day.
