Nate is an incredible guide and I am not saying that just because of all the great fishing holes he took me to and all the fish I caught.  Nate is a pleasure to spend the day with and always looking out for ways to make the experience the best it can be!  Fishing with Nate is absolutely awesome! -Steve

I’ve known a few fishing guides in my life. Hell I used to be one. Generally they’re cut from the same cloth. They’re gruff, competent, know enough about the fish to catch them and that’s basically it. Nate is a cut above. From his quick smile and easy charm, to his uncanny fish catching abilities he is undoubtedly the best fishing guide I’ve had the opportunity to utilize.

Nate is one of those guides that’s just damn fishy. For whatever reason - be it his work ethic, sheer number of hours spent on the river, or good karma - Nate catches more fish than any other guide on the river. Other guided boats had good success from what I could see on that day on the river and in the boat take out parking lot. Crowded river gravel bars possibly hindered our guide from getting us into better spots, but other drift boats had to deal with that factor. Nonetheless, four experienced fishermen catching a total of four fish on a full day trip was definitely disappointing.

My family and friends have been fortunate enough to fish with Nate several times on the Kenai.  Every trip has been great fishing and his ability to always get you on fish is because of his hard work and knowledge of the river.  We enjoyed epic days for both kings and sockeyes.
