Four of us took a four hour morning charter from the Los Peines Marina on the Valeria I. We had set up for a couple days previously, but due to illness we needed to cancel at the very last minute. Captain Jorge made this trip even better than expected. He is awesome!!! Our trip was part fishing, part sightseeing-adventure (snorkeling, waterfalls, etc.) For fishing, our entire group caught something. We hooked into a couple big ones too but lost them. Captain Jorge is extremely knowledgable about fishing and many other things. He helped us get horses to trek to the waterfall; he even walked the entire way with us. Had an amazing 8-hour offshore fishing trip with Captain Jorge and Deckhand Danny! They were extremely professional, helpful, and clearly knew their stuff. They put us right on the fish and made sure everyone had a great time. They truly went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. The Captain had us on fish from the very first cast actually. We caught mostly albacore, but caught a bonito and two blue runners. We went in May, which he explained was the “off season” for all of the other fish because they are more south in warmer water. Had a great time, a freshly made ceviche with the bonito we caught, and he gave all of the fish we caught to those in need at the pier! Highly recommend!

We took a 10 hour trip to catch some trophy fish. It was my grandson’s first salt water fishing experience and his goal was to catch the biggest fish he could. Goal accomplished, because after arriving to our fishing spot, we had a marlin and HUGE sailfish on our lines within 20 minutes. Jorge said our sailfish would have won if we had been in a fishing competition that day. We also spotted many sea turtles, dolphins and whales which was icing on the cake!
