Our party of 4 - 2 men and 2 women - had a glorious day in both the bay and out into the big ocean.  Not only did we catch 16 fish, including tuna and yellowtail, but we saw several pods of whales and dolphins along with giant sea turtles and many species of sea birds. 
Captain Jorge and mate David couldn’t have been more accommodating or knowledgeable.  This is the 2nd year we have gone out on the Valeria, and we plan to do it again next year.

Four of us took a four hour morning charter from the Los Peines Marina on the Valeria I. We had set up for a couple days previously, but due to illness we needed to cancel at the very last minute. Captain Jorge was kind enough to suggest rescheduling for two days later and it worked out perfect for us.  The crew who took us out were entertaining and experienced. We hooked mahi mahi, shark, and a large sail fish. Landed 3 mahi mahi during our four hour charter—two at 30-35
pounds and a 15-20 pounder. Had perfect weather and couldn’t have enjoyed the trip more. Highly recommend boat and crew.

Captain Jorge made this trip even better than expected. He is awesome!!! Our trip was part fishing, part sightseeing-adventure (snorkeling, waterfalls, etc.) For fishing, our entire group caught something. We hooked into a couple big ones too but lost them. Captain Jorge is extremely knowledgable about fishing and many other things. He helped us get horses to trek to the waterfall; he even walked the entire way with us. He taught us about some of the local culture, nature-geography, food-drink. He took us to an outstanding seafood restaurant. Snorkeling was perfect. In between sights, we got close to two huge whales, and Captain Jorge even positioned us perfectly alongside a pod of dolphins. We started the trip ahead of schedule and finished on time. Our entire group loved the trip! We’ll book again. Thank you so much Captain Jorge!

My kids and I are novices at fishing.  Captain Jorge and David were great putting together a half-day trip that was fun and engaging for the kids.  I have a 7 and 10 year old, so we weren’t hunting trophy fish.  Jorge targeted some Spanish Mackerel which were perfect for the kids to reel in.  The kids caught 4 fish each and were thrilled.  Towards the end, they switched us to live bait that they caught and provided.  My 10 year old got to fight a Jack Crevalle.  Lost it right at the boat sadly.  But we caught another one right as time expired.  So we got to experience the difference in the effort needed for different fish. 

The boat was shaded and clean.  It was comfortable for all of us and more.  We got to see some turtles and dolphins up close.  Really cool experience and great people to guide us. 

We learned a few new things today and the kids said they want to do this again.  That’s a win.  We will come back again.

Not much experience fishing as we are from Colorado but Jorge and David helped us have a great day.  Off season and rain the previous day made for muddy water but we were still able to catch Bonita and have them served up at the little town restaurant only accessible by boat.  The grilled fish tacos they made ($20 pp U.S.) were the best! Snorkeling was fun too as we saw turtles, rays and colorful fish near the rocks. Then off to a short hike to the waterfall. Some of us on horseback some walked. My son liked that the best as he jumped off the rocks into a big pool of water.  Jorge was with us every step of the way even pointing out the local fruits and “shaking the tree” for us to sample. Overall a great experience. Would do it again.
