Bite was a little slow.  We landed a small tarpon 20 min into our hunt.  Then we waited,  we could see the fish but they didn’t want to play our game.  So we tried a new spot…same results.  Then wtith about 20 min to go we set up on our final spot.  Marina was in sight.  We tried 3 different baits.  Bam! 1st hit was a 34” barracuda.  With about 10 min until we were to return to the dock the rod doubled over and it was ON.  My son fought for about 1/2 hour to land this fish.  The... We had Fernando as our fishing guide, and we had an insane time. We caught 4 different species of fish, and had really fun conversations. He was very friendly and always had great energy, even through the rain. He was extremely knowledgeable on the species of the area, even the birds and other animals. He gave us great recommendations not just for fishing but for restaurants and places to go to have fun. Overall Fernando exceeded all our expectations, we definitely recommend.

Capn Mateo is great with all ages (5-84) on board. Very personable. My boys loved how he taught them to land the 20-35 lb tarpons. Recommend calling direct to the business before the trip because Fishing Booker did not notify the Captain’s owner that we had booked and was confirmed.  We arrived at the correct meeting time and place but no boat for us.  Thankfully, called the business and they were prepared to bring in the additional group today for our trip.
