We had a great time fishing with Captain John.  He met us at the gate to the pier, helped load our cooler, got us situated and we were off to go catch fish.  Captain John is easy going and asked us what we wanted to fish for.  He has great equipment and plenty of bait.  He helped us catch many different types of fish, some worth keeping, some not worth keeping, and we had fish to take home and eat that evening.  The man works hard, has long days. but loves what he does.  Thanks for the experience... We had a blast with Captain John. He was knowledgable and able to get us where we needed to be to have a great day on the water.  The kids were so so excited to reel in three different sharks.

Captain was amazing. He put us onto fish in minutes. Caught several sheep’s head. Very accommodating individual. Highly recommended. I’ll rebook with him if I’m in the area again.

What an amazing time!! We weren’t really sure what to expect as this was our first time booking a charter but I have to say……we were not disappointed. Captain John made this an experience that our family will never forget. From start to finish it was smooth sailing. He was friendly, knowledgeable , and an all around pleasant person. We will be visiting Houston about every 4 months and Big Tex Charters will most definitely be on our to do list when we return!!!!
