We debated on chartering a boat or surf fishing and boy are we glad we chose Cory. We had looked at his reviews for a week now before booking. Every review said they caught something (shark) and mentioned how they could tell how passionate Cory and his father, Alvin, were about fishing. Could not have been more accurate. We caught FIVE sharks, 4 species within 4 hours. Three were over 8 feet, our little family was the talk of the beach and entertainment for many. Cory and his father are knowledgeable and patient, and just as excited as we were when you heard that line spinning. Truly one of the best decisions we made on our little vacation with memories for a lifetime.

First off the guys were great and got us on fish. We were visiting the Charleston area for spring break, 3 families and their teens. We had primarily 3 dads and 3 teens fishing.
Before and after booking, Corey was quick to communicate about the style of fishing, weather, what to expect, etc. in fact we had such bad wind leading up to and the day of that we considered canceling, but the guys put us in a great spot on the island that tucked us out of the wind. When we arrived to the spot poles were already set up and baits were out. Within the fist 10 minutes we hooked had 2 lines on simultaneously. We brought in a ray and a 3.5’ shark. Over the next 3.5 hours we caught a few whiting and 10 more sharks including sharp nose, black tip, bonnet head, sand bar, and a GIANT 9’9” sand tiger shark. Everyone had a great time. The fishing and spot was so much better than expected given the weather. I highly recommend and will be booking again the next time I’m in Charleston

My son and I booked a last minute trip on a Wednesday in April. Our guide scouted all over the island during the day to find the best location for us to fish. He had everything set up when we got there. My son caught two big black tip sharks. We had a great time. Our guides were super professional and really nice. They even gave us some tips on other places to fish around the area while we were in town. It’s totally worth your money.

Upon arriving at our meeting spot Corey and his first mate Trad had everything setup.  We didn’t wait long at all before hooking up on a double.  These guys know where and how to catch fish. Both Corey and Trad was just as excited to catch fish as me and my kids.  They was very helpful and let the kids reel in anything that was on the line. They made sure to show us the proper way to hold the fish, and was very knowledgeable about everything related to their profession. Everyone that has a job knows no matter how much you like what you do that it’s eventually just a job, I got that vibe from other charter captains prior to speaking with Corey.  I did not get that vibe from Corey I immediately knew after speaking to him he was the one to go with.  I’m convinced Corey and Trads love for the sport will drive them to being the number one fishing charter in the Charleston area.  Fishing with these guys was like fishing with friends that actually know what they’re doing and want to see you catch fish as much as you want to if not more.

I would highly recommend anyone with kids, or without kids to reach out to Corey and let him put you on some fish.  He’s a top notch guy that absolutely loves what he does.  You will not be disappointed.  I can’t say how impressed I was enough. The experience that we had made the trip and it’s one my kids and myself will never forget. Thank you Corey!

If you are looking for a fishing experience completely different from all the other trips you have been on, you should give Cory a call. When we first arrived at the fishing spot, Cory had everything set up. He had multiple lines strategically placed at different points in the ocean in order to give us the best chance to catch something. After about 30 minutes, my daughter caught a 2’ shark and she was thrilled. After catching another small shark and a couple of massive sting rays, the fish stopped bitting. Cory kept an eye on the rods and even moved the lines to different spots with his kayak. Just when we thought it would be time to leave, one of the lines caught a 7’9” lemon shark! After a 30 minute struggle, I was able to bring it ashore. I would recommend Cory to anyone looking for an adventure that is not like anything else.
