Within the first hour we connected with two Skipjack Tuna, that alone made the trip worthwhile. We trolled some more and then we stopped to bottom fish. We quickly began to catch bait and caught moana, trigger fish, trevally, and hogfish. Matt is a great guide and very welcoming. We will be using him again in the future, maybe even on this trip

We went on a morning trip it was me and my two sons for a 5 hour trip. It was incredible Matt was really helpful with my kids he gave us all a chance to catch fish. Caught multiple fish and different species of fish. He even let us keep a couple and he cut it up for us. Thanks Matt looking forward to my next vacation in Hawaii just to come on your boat again!!!!

My dad, my son, and I had a fantastic time with Hawaii Whale Tale Tours. Matt was super responsive leading up to our trip, making sure we booked the best experience for our group, and we had a blast catching mahi mahi, uku, trevally, and much more. Whenever we make it back to the island, we’ll be checking out another tour with Captain Matt.

Our fishing trip with Matt was great, hes super knowledgeable about the fish we caught! and just a great guy and captain, we will definitely be booking with him again for fishing, and for whale tours..If your looking for a fishing trip we would highly recommend! Captain Matt was a delight!  great with kids, frindly, knowledgeable and let us get invovled (if we wanted to).  Can’t recommend him enough…hes GREAT!
