This trip was worth every penny. The boat had air conditioning, galley and head. My son and I got a little sea sick, so it was awesome to have a place to rest. We caught a ton of different fish. Harold, the captain and Kay, the first mate made sure we had every opportunity to caught fish. Kay was super patient and thorough in teaching us how to fish. She was genuinely excited every time we caught a fish. While we all know it’s a crap shoot whether you will actually caught a fish, Kay changed out poles and bait to give us the best chance to succeed. At the end of the trip they filleted our fish and we went to a local restaurant to have it cooked up. If you are looking for an amazing fishing experience with knowledgeable people, we highly recommend the Happy Snapper!

Despite the terrible weather conditions, Captain Harold put us on the fish. His years of experience were evident as we safely navigated the ominous inlet, on our way to an exciting morning of nonstop Kings..and one mystery fish that that pulled so hard, it took two guys to keep the pole vertical. The deck hand, “K”, was also incredible. Her vast knowledge of the fishery, and management of the back of the boat were a treat to witness. The way she hustled around, keeping our lines in the water with the hot bite, was inspiring. It was great morning, and I would highly recommend a trip on the Happy Snapper!

Absolutely fantastic morning of fishing for three adults and three sixteen year old boys. Capt. Harold and Mate Kayleigh are two pros at the top of their game and really nice folks to spend our Sunday morning with.
The water was still churned up from Hurricane Nicole but this team had a plan to get us on the fish….and they did!
From a 28 lb. Golden Tile at 880 feet down to a large Sailfish, that gave my 16 year old all he could handle.
It’s 8 hours later and we are still looking at the pictures and videos and talking about our trip. What is better than that!!

We had an amazing day on the happy snapper!  The boat was clean and organized!
Captain “Moochie” was very nice and super knowledgeable and knew all the best spots to hit!

Or first mate “K” was on of the best first mate’s I’ve ever fished with she was extremely knowledgeable and very experienced. Helped out with whatever we needed and taught us a few tricks along the way.

Started off the day trolling got few bites within the first 45 minutes. Kept going until it slowed down did some wreck fishing was unlucky then we trolled out to do some deep dropping! We were super successful got 17 roses. Finally we started to troll back and the bite picked up and we got 3 mahi’s to end a great day.

Couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better crew I definitely recommend them and I will be back out with them soon!!!

We had a great day of fishing on the Happy Snapper. We opted for the 4 hour tour starting out in the early morning. We caught 16 fish in total. Captain and crew do an excellent job of giving you the most time actually fishing. Will definitely book again.
