Background: Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, I grew up on the water. I was fortunate enough to live on a canal and that is where my passion started, fishing in my backyard. From there I started expanding my territory on the family canoe until I got my first boat. Since then I have been fishing the canals and Intracoastal of Fort Lauderdale, Biscayne Bay in Miami, and even the Florida Keys for over 20 years. I've been lucky enough to experience firsthand the amazing fishery that South Florida has to offer and now my passion is to allow others to experience this same fishery and hopefully motivate them to help protect this precious resource.
Techniques: Most of what we do is slow trolling live mullet, and few things are more exciting than watching a live mullet get blown up on the surface my a big tarpon, snook, or school of aggressive jacks. I also enjoy sight-fishing in the clear waters of Biscayne Bay, and the Florida Keys.

Capt. Zach is hands down the best inshore captain in FTL. He grew up in these waters and knows exactly where to go and when. Felt like every spot we dropped was a hot spot! The trip is entertaining and educational from beginning to end. He’s equal parts great fisherman and conservationist. Would recommend to anyone whether it’s a boys trip or a family one. Also, if you’re a Dolphins fan you may get a kick out of him looking like Mike McDaniel!
