We had a great day, got to take home some mackerel and rainbow runners. We had some big yellowfins on the hook as well but had some bad luck. The crew worked very hard to get us some good fishing. If you want a real Costa Rican experience, take this boat. You won’t get pampered and won’t have fancy accommodations, but you’ll get a real day out chasing some of the best species on the ocean

You will have a great time out on the water with these guys. We had Eymhus and Henry, they were knowledgeable, allowed us to add extra time and took us to a great restaurant on the beach to eat our catch. We caught yellowfin tuna, mahi, and skipjack. We were looking for Marlin and saw one but no bites. I’m sure they’ll get the Marlin when they take you out. Eymhus even took me from my hotel to the airport at 6 am. He’s a great and generous tican. Pura vida!

If you’re looking for a basic and inexpensive, but adventuresome trip, this is for you.  Our captain and his helper worked very card to help us catch all the fish we could.  We trolled and gig-fished.  We hooked two large yellowfin tunas.  The first was eaten by a shark, along with the lure.  The second broke the back hook off the lure and got away.  Then we caught a large manta ray with gig fishing. They did a great job batting high winds and rough seas. We managed to land a couple of tuna and a jack. Mother Nature doesn’t always want to cooperate.
