Species like Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Wahoo, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Cubera Snapper, Roosterfish, and more could be biting if conditions are right. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks – luckily, Capt. Eymhus will have some on board!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 23’ Mako center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don’t forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.

Late September Catch!
Captain Eymhus and Captain Henry kept us on the fish all morning! Tons of Yellowfin Tuna landed, got a chance to see a Sailfish, dolphins, sharks, and whales. I wish we could do this everyday! Totally amazing experience, booked on less than 24 hours notice. Captains were quick and efficient. Weather was beautiful. Fish were blitzing topwater towards the later morning. Got doubled up a couple of times. Great bait and tackle. Fish the rip! Thanks

Fantastic Family-Friendly Charter with Great Crew and Plenty of Fish!
We did a half-day trip with my wife and our 6-year-old daughter, and it was the perfect experience for our family. We caught 2 skipjack, 2 yellowfin tuna, 1 rainbow runner, and even hooked a mystery fish that a shark stole—super exciting! The captain and crew were outstanding: friendly, patient with our daughter, and clearly knew where to find the fish. We felt safe, welcome, and well taken care of the whole time. Highly recommend this charter to anyone visiting Costa Rica, whether you're with kids or just looking for a fun, productive day on the water.

We caught two sailfish at once! We understand this is not typical. Eymhus and Henry were fantastic! We also saw whales, dolphins, and sea turtles. We would highly recommend. Good luck on your trip!

Fantastic caption and crew!
The captain and crew were fantastic, they went out of the way to make sure my son had a fantastic time and that we got his fish! We got a Yellow tuna that I thought was huge. The captain said it was small, but my son was ready to be done for the day or we would have kept fishing! I highly recommend this crew! It's was a little changing connecting with the captain in the morning as the app was not working very well. But all of the local crews knew each other and one of the other crews called the captain from us we left on time got back early with dinner in hand and pictures and good memories! If you are looking for a fantastic bonding opportunity with your son or daughter I definitely recommend this crew. Its also clear that if your a serious fisherman this crew with be prepared for you! Thanks for the great time!

3/4 Day Trip
Great for my first time teens.
Took us out of Tamarindo on a 3/4 day and put us on the tuna immediately which got the kids pumped and got us set for lunch and dinner. We took some of our catch out deeper with no success but that's fishing. Captain was instructive with my boys, they learned a lot and came home ready to go again. Would recommend.
