- Background
- There's many topics that I could discuss with you; but, there's one that I am very passionate about and that is fishing on Lake Lanier for Striped Bass! My goal is for every member of your party to have one of the best fishing experiences of their lives. What does it take to be a successful fishing guide? A captain who is Mild Mannered, Patient, Diligent, Goal Driven! and providing a day of fun fishing. I fully meet these criteria and many more. After working as a part-time fishing guide I decided in 2008 to provide my services on a full-time basis; and it has been a very successful period. How to gauge success? I wrote and published a book, Fishing For Lake Lanier Striped Bass and it proved to be an excellent instructional manual. My background: raised on Striper Fishing in the Chesapeake Bay; Army veteran; four year degree in Business and one additional year for a Masters Degree. I have fished in many locations; but Lanier is the challenge that I have joyously accepted!
- Techniques
- Live bait fishing is suspenseful! Especially when using light rods and reels. In addition, I will always have a casting rod fitted with an artificial lure that can be casted to Stripers feeding on top water. How about sending your live bait to a depth of 60 feet using a two ounce sinker only to have a nineteen pound Striper streak from the bottom to ingest the bait!! Fish on!!! Your rod is doubled over!!! Now that's a challenge!!!! And, of course, there is the eight inch heavy jigging spoon that fishermen of all ages want to use. Each and every method can be used successfully! Come fishing with me so you can experience the various methods
