We had the opportunity to take a young angler and his parents out fishing here in Marathon Florida. The Florida Keys has so much variety it’s why we are here year round. Mom and Dad explained to us that their son plays fishing video games, watches YouTube about fishing. You name it he researched it all. They just wanted him to catch something. Ok this is a Bonnet Head Shark which looks like a small hammerhead. To many this is a nuisance fish. Not to this little guy. This made all his dreams come true! We proceeded to catch 6 different varieties of fish and ended his vacation with a lasting memory for life! So happy for him

Our last calm water fishing in the Florida Bay was amazing. We had non stop action for this 6 year old angler who caught such a variety. We absolutely love having children and keeping them busy while they learn everything we know! What a great morning

The last half day reef trips have been nothing short of amazing! The Yellowtail snapper are feeling the water temperature drop and they are feeding incredibly. We limited on on snappers ( 10 per person in the ocean at the time of this trip) . We then continued to fish live bait and hooked King Mackeral, Mutton Snapper, Sharks! Fishing in Marathon Florida is Amazing!

Our most recent reef and wreck trip was nothing short of amazing. The reef fish are feeling those temperature come down in the ocean! The deeper water wreck fish are also feeling it. The fish are here and eating! We caught so many variety we can’t include them all. Released a lot of fish and kept plenty for a few amazing dinners for our clients. Everyday is getting better! We started the season picking through a lot of smaller fish. We put together nice catches with persistence. Within the past week with the current change and water temperature the BIG Fish have showed up. We are optimistic that the fishing will remain this way till mid to late October if history repeats itself! Let get em

A week or so ago we left the dock just after sunrise for a 6 hour offshore trip on our 36 foot Yellowfin. Every morning, every fishing charter is more exciting than the day before. Planning the night before for what could or may happen as well as planning for the unexpected is what we love. For 3 weeks a couple had been posting on the local Facebook pages they had to leave their boat they where living on for a medical emergency. Everything they owned was on that boat. Fast forward after 2 weeks the boat was spotted 40 miles off the coat of Cuba floating well. Due to the location and no immediate emergency no one was willing to make that long ride and tow the boat back in. Well in the Florida Keys we deal with some strong and constantly changing currents due to the location. We where 3 hours into our offshore trip without even a bite from. The stress kicks in because we want our clients to have a memorable experience and rarely do we go this long without action. Around 11:30 am off our starboard side we spot a boat that looks to be stopped in 800 feet of water. This was not a fishing boat and not in an area that someone would fish deep for big fish on the bottom. Thinking the worst but hoping for the best we immediately changed course and quickly made it over to the boat. Within a second I knew it was the lost boat. I was amazed the boat had floated almost 100 miles in 3 days. The first call was to the Coast Guard to let them know we found a boat the second was to make sure no one was on the boat in need of assistance. Once those important checks where done we started to fish around the boat. Wow is all we could say! We had Mahi Mahi up to 55 inches all around the boat! Blackfin tuna! Wahoo. Our clients where in awe. It was just epic fishing but even more rewarding when we got into cell range and we where able to speak to the boat owners and let them know we found their home! Not sure what was more rewarding for us on this trip but this is why we do what we do! You never know till you go. We still have chills talking about this trip and can’t wait everyday for the next one! Tight lines everyone and catch em up!
