5 Hour Trip – Evening Salmon • 6 adults • 1 childMy trip with Sooke Saltwater Fishing SA and Captain Regg was truly memorable and exceeded all expectations. From the moment we left the dock, Regg's knowledge, professionalism, and passion for fishing were evident. What stood out most was not just his ability to put us on fish, but his commitment to making the experience meaningful and educational. Regg was an outstanding mentor throughout the trip, patiently sharing his expertise, answering questions, and helping me better understand the techniques and decision-making that go into successful salmon fishing. He created an environment where I felt involved rather than just along for the ride. One of the highlights of the trip was when Regg trusted me to take over the steering. That level of trust was a huge honor and made the experience incredibly special. It's not every day that a captain is willing to share that responsibility, and it demonstrated the confidence and respect Regg has for the people he takes out on the water. If you're looking for more than just a fishing charter and if you want a memorable experience with a knowledgeable guide who genuinely enjoys teaching and sharing his passion, then I highly recommend fishing with Regg. 5 Hour Trip – Morning Salmon • 2 adultsHad a great trip with Sooke Saltwater and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fishing charter in the Sooke area. It was a pretty slow day for catching salmon and all the locals were having the same luck. My guide was super hard working and motivated to find fish. Later in the morning we found a couple smaller chinooks but they were just under the retention limit. If you are looking for a great fishing opportunity with great guides and or a nice saltwater cruise around the Sooke area, go with Sooke Saltwater!

5 Hour Trip – Morning Salmon • 2 adultsHad a great time fishing with Adam today. We caught around 10 or so wild Coho Salmon, 2 mackarel, and 2 keeper stocked Cohos. We were also able to catch a handful of Dungeness crabs and got a keeper size to take home. We had an amazing time during our first time here in BC. We are looking forward to coming back in the future!

5 Hour Trip – Evening Salmon • 4 adultsCaptain John was personable, professional and an experienced fisherman! He made sure all of us had a turn to reel in our catch. Our boat had a cabin area with heat, and two downriggers for luring the salmon. He filleted our fish upon returning to the dock and took pictures of us holding our catch. We will be back next year! Great service!

This 24 lb beautiful hatchery chinook was landed by a group of friendly anglers who joined us from Victoria BC this week. The salmon bite is on! Well everything is on! We continue to get limits on Hali and pictured is a great catch of local Dungeness!
