Hoping to explore and experience the Westcoast? Then Sooke Saltwater Fishing has a trip with your name on it! With one of expert full o knowledge guides at the helm, we'll get you out, safe and into an experience of a lifetime in no time at all!

These waters are known for Halibut, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Rockfish, Lingcod, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before "Fish on!"

During the trip you might be fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Our Captain's are happy to have kids aboard and we cater all groups and sizes. If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to inquire and we'll line you up with the right sized. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to keep 'em happy!

You'll be welcome aboard a 24' Sportfishing that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with all of your gear, tackle and bait.

Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is available online, or you can ask the captain when we connect you at time of booking.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

This was our first time on a charter fishing trip. 3 adults one in a wheelchair and a 8 year old. It was the best experience we had fishing, from where we met the captain to the boat to setting crab traps to fishing on the ocean which is totally different from lake fishing. When we were all done fishing, the next week we talked about doing this with extended family the next year. We all agreed that it was absolutely the best vacation someone can take. Thanks to our captain Regg. for a wonderful experience.

Had the prairie kids out on their first ever salmon fishing trip. Limited bar 1 on pinks, coho and legal chinook plus a few released, and a couple of crab too. The boat was just right for a party of 6, spacious and comfortable. The skipper Reg clearly knew his stuff and was just awesome with the kids. Definitely recommended.

Best Birthday ever.

Captain Tristan was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, well maintained boat and gear. 70th birthday present to myself, went with my daughters. All of us limited on Coho, and released about 30 wild Coho in addition to the hatchery fish we kept. Many double headers, lots of action. Highly recommend.

Great day fishing!

Booked a 5 hr Halibut trip with Sooke Saltwater fishing. Guided were friendly and professional. Great boat and equipment. Halibut weren’t biting so went for salmon and caught a few nice ones. Overall very pleased with the experience and will book another trip with them again!! Highly reccomend!
