My job isnt to fish from 7-3 or 8-4, my job is to put my customers on the best bite possible. We changed this trip to 2-10 pm to hit the best bite window and it paid off. Depsite the flat calm conditions, we mananged a decent walleye bite.

It was one of those days that would be considered good for a duck. Wet, cold, windy. But that can also spell a good recipe for Northern Pike, and today was an example of that. Trolling at 2.6 mph was the ticket

It was a cold one today, but boy did the fish cooperate. It really didn’t matter what we did we caught fish. We got the first musky of the season, even though it’s not open, but you can’t help it when you’re fishing Pike. It was really blowing today, but we could manage a good controlled drift and picked up a few walleyes a bunch of largemouth and some more pike. We even ended the day catching some postponed crappies but boy it sure was a chilly one.

For that matter, everything is snapping! Its only going to get better as we head into the fall. I see this fall being as good as any!

This is a report over the past week Doesnt matter the species, the fish are biting very well. Over the last week, we have seen a transition from a shallow bite to a more typical weedline bite. Crawlers are hoping and moving rather than spot locking in postion seems to be the key. The bite will only get better as the summer goes!

Our conditions are about 2 to 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Makes sense with our early spring. Walleyes are all over the depths. We have been getting them anywhere from 5 feet to 25 feet. Smallies and largies are both spawning and easy targets. Pike are chewing hard. Crappies are still spawning a little but todays catch was post spawn on the weed edge. Perch are hungry and schooled up. Its gearing up to be a fantastic season.
